Ha, ha. LOL. I've stayed out of this one but I was wondering when someone was going to point out this less than stellar performance.
Perspective is a funny thing. Back during spring ball you guys would have scoffed at an 8-4 prediction. No way would you have taken that and been satisfied. National title talk was the theme du jour.
Based upon the talent you guys had this year, you definitely underperformed. Dropping that last game to USC was the icing on the cake (no offense David).

the word I used to define our season was "undistinguished" fitting I think........ we far from sucked....... but I do agree with you that we didn't live up to our fans own hype but most teams rarely due
No way UGA wins? Momentum for UGA is rolling... two wins against ranked teams to end the season. And this is a home game for UGA.
I have 12 cold ones on UGA beating VT. If you win this one you win the other one... like a double or nothing bet!
I am with you on this one. Not normally a fan of UGA but since they are planing VT I will definately be pulling for you. no secret how I feel about the hokies
. Then again I've not had much to cheer about as a Canes fan this year. Hopefully a new coach and bowl win will be a good start.
VT is a far better team then UGA they still dont even know which QB to play half the time. I hate VT but they will win this game. They might outscore UGA just on defense and special teams.
QB is a future NFL QB that's started every game for the last half of the season, just happens to be a true freshman who had a rough start. No QB controversy anymore.
VT far better? VT is probably the best ACC team right now. It will be a great game, but UGA will win a close one.
I am not saying VT will lose. Truth be told I think they will most likely win. I am hoping for one last Christmas present and a VT loss.

SEC will represent well. I think of all the games other than the BCS games, I am really looking forward to seeing AR and Wisconsin play. I did not get to see much of them throughout the season. I think with the level of competition they faced, it should give AR the edge.
The Big ten had a good year with 7 bowls, but I think they did not draw good matchups and could be exposed a bit. Iowa and Texas could get ugly and I think Minnesota will have a very tough time with TT. I think OSU, Mich and Wis are legit teams but the others are a bit suspect.
But in the end, the games are decided on the field and we'll see what happens then. I do like seeing the local flavor do well so I'll be pulling for the Deacs as well. I think of all the BCS games, they have the best shot again Louisville or possibly Boise st.

Malcolm Long only won the award cause gaffney beat byrnes to win the state championship. He wont even be playing d-1 football next yr. Kinda like Armanti Edwards last yr. Not that a bunch of writes from Columbia would give a Clemson commit any recognition anyway.

Just playing devils advocate here.....Wisconsin played 6 bowl eligible teams and beat 5 of them. Any time you beat 5 bowl eligible teams and end your season with only one loss it is hard to call them overrated.
I still think AR will get the win. And if they could get one of their QB's to plan with some consitancy, it will not be hard at all. All I am saying is that I think it could potentially be one of the better non-BCS games.
1 loss in an overrated conference having a down year. And yes, they may have played 6 bowl eligible teams but roughly 50% of every major conference is bowl eligible these days so that doesn't say much. Arkansas played 7 bowl eligible teams and look at their collective ranking versus the Wisconsin foes...
Either way, I hate the Big Televen and hope Arkansas takes them out back to the wood shed.
Long's problem isn't lack of talent. It's a question of qualifying. He will
not. The guy has a ton-o-talent. Some small school is going to get
a gem of a dual threat QB.
Sports writers gave plenty of future Tigers props. I think about 3 or 4 on the team are CU commits.
The Tigers and the Cocks are loading up this year.
