I may be on my own on this one but....Go Blue! We will be a force to be reckoned with!

I talked to a guy that was a huge Michigan fan today. Shirt, lanyard, shoelaces... He's convinced they are going to take it all this year. Now if only they could find a way past Ohio State... Wisconsin always chokes and Penn State just lost to Pitt. Yes, Pitt. So, I'll be convinced that Michigan is a contender when they take on Michigan State at the end of October. One thing is for sure, they've finally got a heck of a coach.

Clemson won a nail biter this week against a perennial Powerhouse. Auburn was a snoozer of a game, but beating Troy should have put Clemson in the top spot! Dropping from #2 to #5??? For shame! Clearly the analysts don't know how good Troy is. Clemson sure showed what it could do, though, and I hope they play just as well against Florida State :flipoff2:

Time to talk SEC.....the last time Arkansas won Miss America was 1964, which was also the last time Arkansas won a national championship. We just toppled #15 TCU to get back into the top 25. Do I see another road to a national championship???

Being that this is a "crap talking" thread, I'd direct you to post 4541... Although Arkansas was left off of there.

Inconsistency simply kills the Hogs. They open SEC play against Texas A&M on 9/24 but their real test will be on 10/8. Hopefully St Nick will get caught looking past the Hogs - nobody likes Bama (although I was enrolled at Mississippi State for a year and find NOTHING in SEC play more obnoxious than their stupid cowbells). For the SEC West, I say Woo Pig Sooie, but they've got a very tough road ahead of them. Bama still comes out on top. To the dismay of everyone.

Edit: I'll always bet on Arkansas if it goes in to OT! Even if it's against Bama.

Hahah good to hear! We're known for NOT knowing what a 2nd half is and that kinda showed itself Saturday when TCU had 3 consecutive scoring drives after the half. Bama can suck it, time for someone else to take the throne!

That's true about our real test being Bama....Not to mention we have one of the toughest schedules in the conference: Bama, Ole Miss, @ Auburn, Florida, LSU, @ Miss St.

GO HOGS!

Uh Oh… Better not let @Land Speeder hear you talking about his team like that.....Roll Tide! :hillbilly:

Some good games on this weekend, the ones I'm looking most forward to. Two that are OOC games that will impact the Big XII's ability to get into the playoff.

11:00am CST - FSU @ Louisville (I'm curious to see what Lamar does against FSU).
2:30pm CST - Bama @ Ole Miss
6:00pm CST - TAMU @ Auburn (coaches fighting for their jobs)
6:30pm CST - Ohio State @ OU
7:00pm CST - Southern Cal @ Stanford
9:30pm CST - Texas @ Cal

I have been hearing on the radio that ECU is a "must win" for S. Carolina. Must win? Must win for what? Muschamp has a free pass to go 4-8 this season and he is well on his way to doing so. 5-7 isn't gonna be much better. ECU in a nail biter.

(realized this was a in the SC forum...oops, thought it was in a general forum). Hope you guys don't mind me participating :)

Agree on Muschamp, he's got a free pass this year. He's gonna have to do a better job recruiting than his predecessor. Spurrier got lazy.

@planomateo , you are welcome to post here. It appears that you are an Alabama fan. Since most S. Carolina fans are SEC fans, they are also Alabama fans, as well. ;)
In all seriousness, welcome to the UC Board.

I ended up watching the game last night, thought Tubberville was gonna pull off the upset against Houston. Back to back pick 6's in the 4th put an end to that.

FSU fans on life support right now!

I've never heard of coaches agreeing to shorten the quarters.

That was very strange. I was flipping back and forth between 3 games and last watched the Clemson game in the middle of the 3rd. I flipped back at what seemed like a few minutes later and there was a story on almost like a "30 for 30." I had to make sure I had it on the right channel. When I realized the game wasn't on any more, I was quite confused. I figured they had a running clock but it sounds like it was shortened quarters and an "unofficial" running clock.

Regarding SCar. ECU moved the ball at will between their own 20 and SC 10. Then implosion x3!

UNC! Tennessee also plus one out! Lets hope Clemson follows suit!
