Looks like some good eating in pic 1. What restaurant is that? Pic 2 is obviously a snag; we've all been there and been tempted to take a lunker shot. Pic 3 looks like you found some carp by the dumpster and went for the April Fools pic. Please don't be that guy.First pic for @JohnVee

You should and not delay! The pics I posted are actually from our annual Alaska trip in September for the Coho run. Mind boggling fishing, especially when what we tend to catch in the Sierra is 8 inches or less and it's all catch and release. I couldn't resist posting the pics when I saw @jfz80 's 6 inch perch (or whatever it is). Most Sierra fishing is with 3 weights, where as in Alaska it's 8 weights and sometimes 9 weights.
We do have Salmon in the river behind my house, but by the time they get here, they tend to be turning to spawning colors and not as desirable. Honestly, since the fall kings (Chinook) in the American River are endangered, I don't even fish for them, though lots do. I do fish for Steelhead there in the winter, but rarely catch any to speak of.
Awesome pics! Always wanted to catch a peacock bass
Leave a shovel clearly visible in it when parked in the woods. And a tarp.
EDIT: It took about 30 seconds to find a lifetime of pics that aren't fit to print here pertaining to the van's new name. I suggest not looking for them. Where's my eye bleach?
I sold my other spear guns, 4, a few years back. I had a couple very nice high dollar Riffe guns, one wood the other aluminum, preferred the wood. Both were long guns for open water. These guns have 3 bands. I also had a shorty gun. I used that one when hunting grouper under ledges, usually in 15-30' of water, free diving.
Basically you dive straight down from the surface as soon as you hit the bottom and can see under the ledge and a fish you shoot, from an upside down position. If you don't the fish is gone. Shorty gun is also good in close coral.
Another real quick river trip this evening. @jfz80 and I definitely did more paddling than casting but still a good time.
@GLTHFJ60 ive started calling the van Tinkerbell because as long as you believe in it will live.

Yeah but wonder what the cops called it when they came to check on ole tinkerbell. Poor rookie had to be shaking in his boots![]()
Back for another evening on the Dan river. Skunked this time out but still a good time Got to find the cold weather bait the smallies are after as they are off the spinners now.
