If that thing is as nice , up close, it seems like a good deal. I like it

Just saw a brand new HFS 40 front bumper on Tucson CL for $100.00....

This one, and this one (http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/cto/4005494936.html), make me wonder why in seems like folks throw tons of $$$ and work into a rig and then sell it for less than invested. Something wrong with them or just the final results were not what the owner expected. John

at some point a buyer is just not going to pay what has been "invested" - also, people often lose interest when there is nothing to wrench anymore

I guess some folks just like to pay a lot for the privilege of building rigs. Write it off as an expensive hobby. Too bad it's not tax deductible.

So, when you and Kevin are wrenching, it's investment income your making. Which is taxed at a much lower rate than getting your income from labor! The mods you perform are merely investement decisions. You need to update your shop vernacular and you may want to check with an accountant. Probably recommend some new corporate restructuring scheme...I'm sure someone on this board has already done it.

jj is on a roll today

I find it even more so when someone is recommended to buy tires and brakes on their 40K mile vehicle

but instead they trade it for a new car so they don't "have to deal with it"

Do the math on that one!

$$:flush:

I am new to the forum (intro here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showpost.php?p=8738002&postcount=1188)

I have been eyeing this listing on CL.
http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/3977191670.html

Wondering if any of you may have looked at or know the machine? (I searched the thread, but didn't see it under that listing number).

Thoughts?

Perhaps one of you are listing it?

I am hoping to go see it this week.
It certainly needs some work, which I am not afraid of, as long as the engine and tranny have been looked after. The body work I think I can handle.

On my '03 Tacoma, the fenders are bolted on - I am assuming its the same with the 97 LC's and that no welding is needed?

Murf found an interesting post on CL about this rig...the ad is gone now.

It was my understanding that this seller misrepresented himself to the previous owner and may be misrepresenting this vehicle. But, I never looked at it...

Thanks for the heads up....I think I saw that post but didn't make the connection to this listing.
