Looks remarkably smooth there Phil. It appears your focus on the lightweight components making up your unsprung weight is proving invaluable

your wheels and tires are probably about half (?) the weight of what other trailers are running.

I like lightweight! Have to learn more about your trailer there, Phil.

On the other hand, has anyone a handle on the specs of D1EZEL's CL torsion axles? TOO lightweight isn't very helpful....

A lot of things point to the tub on that BJ40 being earlier than 79. The VIN plate on the A pillar was a US market thing, so I doubt it has one with production date. Not sure does SOR have production date chart according to VIN for the BJ40?

:meh: Likely a conversion? It is listed as a FJ40. Has been posted for sale for a longtime.

A "B" motor with a 4spd has got to be a racer, would it even keep up with traffic? A 22RE/5spd swap would likely a good performance improvement?:grinpimp:

bezel

look at the snorkel snake to the air cleaner

Looks like the snorkel on that 40 is twisted to passenger quite a lot. I suppose that means that the Ram Air Effect will be maximazed only on right turns?

Stinky, snorkel, 2000 pounds of unneeded s*** to take off. No thanks.

Remove "2000 pounds of uneeded sh!t"; mark up and post on expo portal; profit!

Agree, but that's the only part that's fixable.

16" 100 series wheels are pretty plentiful and low demand. The 18" 100 wheels seem to be much more desireable.
