M416 (or M100?). Rough, and no brake, but the price is right...

Round fenders would make it a M100 at the earliest. Don't see the holes for the box that mounted to the front of the M100. Could be a Bantam or Willys from WWII. Looks to have a tailgate cut in. Hand brake is missing. Won't mind having it but couldn't explain to the wife why I need a third one.

No lift handles on the corners probably a WWII trailer

Yeah, it's definitely some kind of weird... Title says 1966 (M416), but round fenders (WWII M100). Has Pintle (M416/100 but not Bantam), but no brake (could just be removed, but Bantam didn't have a brake, IIRC), but no stake pockets like a Bantam, and looks like aftermarket tailgate supports on the side?

:meh:

I'm in your shoes, but I just have an M762...

Bantam made a civilian version trailer after the war. Those had pockets and 1 7/8" ball. During the war they had hand brake and pintle hook. A few other differences. This would be a WWII version.

 alrighty, who down south is selling their weird uncle's dirty Cruiser without a title???

:lol:Now it's missing the front diff? This is going to be on CL for a long time. I can't imagine anyone willing to take the risk of buying a no-title car from a "relative" and risk having the weird uncle's estate/trustee/fiduciary come back and say that no, it isn't abandoned after all... I wouldn't offer more than $500 for it under those circumstances...

Conversion donor and its white... Im calling:hillbilly:

First thing I would do is get the VIN and run a CarFax. Vehicle is not that old and finding the last titled shouldn't be to hard. AZ plate so it's probably a AZ title. I missed the first CL ad but if it belonged to someone who died it's part of his estate. No will and probate court will decide the legal owner who will have no problem getting the title in their name. Donor vehicle is different. Just make sure you do pay cash and nobody copies down your license number to trace you down later. I was thinking 3FE in my FJ45 but a 4.7 V8 would be nice.:hmm:

Also on the Tucson list:

I looked at it, and yes, it's rough and needs a through cleaning, but could easily be parted for more than $1k. No diff lock. I'd have picked it up, but I've got enough projects going.
