:smokin: yEAH...A 900 HP engine gets thrown in so the new owner can drop it in and run 9 second quarters at the Raceway ??!!

Definitely not right - posted @ 3:17 AM in all caps:eek:

I have seen the thing on CL for over a year. Pricing is always all over the place from $2k to $5k. Sometimes the tires are almost new, other times they need to be replaced. Something is definitely wrong with that whole deal.

I'm guessing extreme sarcasm/frustration. The outside looks OK, but the inside is trashed.

Fixed it for you, you left out one of the possible "-tions":D

Thanks for posting the CL ad! Just what I was looking for. The text only purchasing process was awkward SMH.

Congrats on the trailer Fumann!

Can I borrow it?

It turns out that this guy, Cody:flipoff2:, is delinquent on child support payments and that the titles for all of his vehicles, including this trailer, are locked from transfer by DMV. Now I have to find a way to convince DES (lots of fun time on their phone tree) to release it. I have a bill of sale and that hopefully will help. What a pain!!!

On a personal note - Cody, for knowingly selling me this trailer when you knew you couldn't legally do so :censor:

Lesson learned: Check with DMV for any title issues before making a purchase. Oh, and don't do business with Cody.

Bummer, at least the DES knows he made money and can go after that amount you paid from Cody. That really sucks because DES will most likely hold things up until after they go through the process of going after him. At least you can provide an address to the DES on where he currently resides. ;)

wups.

Wouldn't stop me from using the trailer though...

Wow good luck. DCSE is worse than the IRS. And for good reason. Deadbeat dads...

It's always best to do your transaction at DMV just for this reason. I had a Camry in my back yard that belong to my daughter. It needed some repairs. We ended up buying her another car. She then listed the Camry on CL. Couldn't wait until we got home to get the title which I had locked up. Headed to DMV with the buyer only to find out the county had liened the vehicle for unpaid fines. So a clear title in hand doesn't mean it's truely clear title.

Let us know how you make out with DES. I would be surprise if they release the lien. There is a reason it was put on there. It is a shame a fellow mudder isn't willing to at least refund your money. I can understand he may not know it had a lein on it. But once he did he should make it right even if that means the only way is refunding your money.

Good Advice! I was blind-sided by this, and I have not approached him about a refund because I don't really want one, I want the trailer in my name. DES and DMV say he knows about the liens. DES has attempted to contact him and waiting until tomorrow to see if he calls back - good luck. They seemed to think they could get it cleared up, several different options, though I'm not clear exactly what they are. DES indicated that it might end up costing me a few additional bucks.

queen creek: 62 fj40 parts and Bandeirantes soft top bows

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/pts/3272873508.html

Not my ad. Met with Jon last night and bought a tow bar and some side emblems.

He's got some '62 fj40 axles, front ones still have the old Dualmatic locking hubs on them.

Also has some transfer case/trans parts in boxes, a set of soft top bows with some of the body mount brackets, aisan clutch new in box, tailgate license plate mounting thingy, etc. Good front bib with grill from the '62 fj40. He feels like some of the parts may be Bandeirantes due to some instructions in Portuguese.

His phone number is in the ad, his email is jonnylaw75 -at- gmail . com
