I am excited that I can finally post up in this thread with a couple of pieces of my own
I had a 425, 5 or so years ago but the expansion tube for the tank was rusted up and it ended up getting recycled by my mother
I found these two at an antique store in June but waited to buy them until now. Got both of them for $20. The 425E came with two expansion tubes, one still in the package, as well as the original purchase receipt from April 27, 1979, when this unit cost $22.63. It was missing the tank, but had literally never been used
The first time it was fired was today when I used the tank that came with the 425F.
The 425F is in a little rougher condition, but definitely still has some life left. The burners are rusted and the paint has some rust, but is a good candidate for restoration. The tank, however, is dirty but rust free and had fuel in it when I purchased it. Who knows how long the fuel has been sitting in there, but the plunger was well oiled and held pressure perfectly when I pumped it. As I mentioned above, I pumped it up, hooked it up to the 425E and lit it up. She burns perfectly
I intend to use the 425E for what it was bought for in '79. The 425F will be completely disassembled and restored. I am pumped
