get the Coleman stand- it folds up and fits inside the 426 with all the rest of your gear and a towel or two to take up the rest of the space...

I've found several on eBay in the $20-25 range. They won't be mint, but my best runner is my ugliest lantern.

Jim-Does that 425 have a cast iron manifold/burner? If so, first I've seen and very cool. I like the ad "40 years old" . More like 75 years old. Post up some flame pics.
Don't think the manifold/burner is cast iron. Pics aren't loading for some reason; I'll try later. I twisted and turn the knobs, key, etc. and almost everything seems to work. The fuel cap is gummed up and I could not loosen with my hand. The tank still held some pressure. I'll clean it up, fuel it up, and light it up.

Well, a round tank for $15 is good business. If that's a 425C, the generator is available under $20.
Recommend you replace the fuel cap gasket (easily available or I'll send you one), and the pump leather.
I personally don't like those wire legs. They work, but not as solid as earlier/later designs.

What method did you use to strip and what paint did you use?
