Edit: added Slee Rear Bumper pics on 7/28/05 at end

Just got an ARB Bumper for the LX450 and left work early to install. Total install time was about 2 hours. Lessons learned:
1) It would be easier with someone to help you, but having something to set it on close to the right height makes it easier.
2) Have a hammer close by to pound it on a bit, and a towel so you won't scratch up the ARB (yet!)
3) The box is bigger than you think and I had to drive home with the gates open and tie it in.
4) The ARB instructions suck. Sat there for a few minutes trying to figure out why the existing hooks didn't fit right. Came in and did a search on Mud (thanks Christo) and there are Zinc Spacers to fix that

Now, what lights should I put on it? They run the gammet from $50 to $500.

Between this and the Tcase problem, I am tapped out for a while.

I think I'm just about ready for MOAB :bounce:

Where's yer winch?..............

Yer gonna have to jerk it back off the truck to install the winch.....

Romer, for the lights - PM Mot or look in the for sale. Both Pimp and I recently got some that say Toyota on them from him and they are the macdaddy :D

Looks great, but what's with the :princess: attitude of needing someone to help? :flipoff2: : olddude:

I put my bar on by myself. :D Nice looking 80.

The winch will go in from below WITHOUT removing the bar. BTDT. It is very helpful to have a friend help you mount the winch.

Did the new t-Case from Slee and Co. fix the whine?

Are front license plates required in CO? If so, Christo has a nice bracket to mount it to the front of the bar...

Very nice rig. It'll be cool to see it in Moab!

Thanks Guy's

The wench went to KC for a family thing, thats why I left early to install the bumper. Actaully, The winch is down my list of things I want. I always wheel with the club and most folks have winchs. I have one on my 40. Besidwes, I think I would like to have a rear bumper first to complete the Armor.

The whine was the Tcase Drew.

Thanks for the tip on the lights Mike.

Looking forward to meeting you and your . . . pink panties Doug!

Front plates are required in Warshington state too. I dont have them on ANY of my rigs.

Romer,

Looking good!

I always recommend on the ARB's if you are going to do serious wheeling / getting stuck - to weld an additional plate ~ 3/8" to 1/2" thick, on the front tow points. These front tow points will bend if you have to extract the cruiser in an angular direction

I agree with Joe on this you may want to consider this route.

Looks great, get out and wheel!

Those look to be BFG ATs based on the tread pattern...
And just by eye-balling...I'd say they're 285/75 R16.
