Well the desert is a dry heat. And it makes one thirsty. I had to re up again in MS at the neon pig before the crawfish boil. Unfortunately I have no pics of the awesome haul here. I do remember loving the blue pants IPA.
I've had many Detours..that's a great beer.

Screw it. I can't wait and moving makes one thirsty ;)

Just picked up this spread from the beer cave under work.

Oh and thought I had posted this one from last office beer friday. Grabbed the last one from the cave

Bought this for my Brother in law's birthday yesterday..... I got to try some and it was pretty damn awesome

Well the growler is empty this am so ....

Was pretty tasty. I like the citrus hops in general but don't care for the pineapple sculpin and some of the other overly fakey fruited options. This one had a good balance and also caught me by surprise so had to give it a go.

I got stuck in a store with VERY limited options at beer time yesterday - didn't even stock Bud/Miller/Coors. Was walking to the front with some Newcastle when I realized my mistake. Not that the Spaten was a better choice for the holiday, but it wasn't British.

A great celebratory beer, for getting to WA, i've been aging for a while. It might be the best vanilla stout i've ever had.

And I may have found my new favorite beer.

Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels for 2 years with vanilla and cocoa beans....... like drinking Heaven.

And a few from the trip across the US.... tried about 20 beers but didn't take pics of that many

Great DIPA from NC, not as good as the Green Man DIPA (which I also had just didn't get a pic of it) but still good.

If looking for a lager why get anything else than a German one

A great Dopplebock

Also not pictured was a variety from Wicked Weed, including Pernicious, Hop Burgular and their barrel aged Stout.
Pliny and Heady Topper were also there. Quite a few from bars whose names I can't remember now when we went out with Brett and Cinder in Ft Collins.

And I may have found my new favorite beer.

While I'm sure that's a delicious beverage that I'll now be on the search for, my reason for doing so might differ from yours. I remember an MTV thing from the late 80's - commercial, random clip, Randee of the Redwoods (for president!), whatever it was...something they did in house - that defined and used the word 'callipygous'. Basically, "having shapely buttocks". I'd remember more but I have to go google China Kantner and Duff (the VJ, not the beer). Carry on. Nothing to see here.

you won't be able to get it NC (over the 15% law) but Frugals could most likely order some from their Avery Vendor for you. They ordered a couple things for me. Not sure if its because I was in there so often or if they would do it for everyone. Worth checking out.

So while away in KC at my Grandma's Celebration of Life and Family Reunion . . .I drank a good amount of beer.

I made it to Brevard before I realized there were no decent beer stores there and I had bypassed Foothills, Burial, Wicked Weed, etc :(

I grabbed some WW Pernicious, Unknown IPA, a small growler of Cider from Urban Cider and this:

Boojum.jpg

I have had some decent beers from Boojum so far.

In KC I had some new things from Boulevard:

This was horrible:

This was decent:
