Hit up these two breweries yesterday... The Valholl was a no nonsense place where the ABV was high and the traditional flavors and hops were sky high.

Bainbridge was good also and focused more on citrus flavored beers.

No pics but took a day trip to Asheville on Saturday and went to Wicked Weed Brewpub and then hit up their Funkatorium. Could have sat at the brewpub all day as they had a great selection and offered half pours which I really love to get. The Funkatorium had a better vibe, though I don't drink sours that often. They offered a preset flight of sours, so that was pretty cool. They did have Pernicious at the Funkatorium if you didn't want to stick with the sours.

So far behind here ...

But there were some great beers that lost there lives in the last few weeks in the desert. This one from squatters still stands out. And their DIPA was great too.

While I maintain that the US overall makes the best beer if I was grading it purely on amount of good beer vs amount of bad beer had from the country, far and away Iceland would be up there.

I've never had a bad beer from that country, i've never even had a :meh: or just ok beer from there. It is always a very good beer to say the least. This toasted porter is dead on what one should be.

Well the desert is a dry heat. And it makes one thirsty. I had to re up again in MS at the neon pig before the crawfish boil. Unfortunately I have no pics of the awesome haul here. I do remember loving the blue pants IPA.

Always a nice sipper ...

And OMG. @PabloVTA produced several bottles of mighty fine brew to treat us around dinner and the campfire. Many thanks again ! This was beyond incredibly delicious. An experience more than just a beer
