It won't be long before my Ms kills me for taking up the whole dining room table so get your tools and parts while I'm still breathing.
Just remind her how many purses/shoes she can buy, after they’re sold?

Fan clutch tool arrived today. Thanks GA!! Looking forward to less bloody knuckles.

It's been fun. Good thing I didn't sell my truck last year 😄

@MongooseGA

Question: Would you know if anyone has used your HID Caps on Acura TSX Projectors + Morimoto D2S XB55 Ballast? Concerned about depth...Thanks!

I can find out. I have TSX projectors in mine and have been meaning to install a pair.

It may depend on the igniters you're running. I'm using the Morimoto XB igniters. With the TSX projectors and XB igniters, the caps don't fit get securely and put a good bit of tension on the side of the igniter. Fits great with no igniter but that won't do you any good 😄

It may be better for me to pull the PS light and try it on the bench. I'll update here when I can give that a shot.

Also been meaning to upgrade my projectors, this may be a nice motivator to do so.

Not to derail the thread, but I'm actually mildly curious where the TSX projectors position the ignitor to where the caps don't fit - I think the caps could conceivably get wider (larger diameter) but they definitely can't get longer - they're already close to the battery on the driver's side. Definitely take some pictures!

On mine, the igniter sits a good bit to the inside relative to the back of the projector.

Now, my projectors were installed in a very DIY fashion utilizing JB Weld and wishes. It is very possible that the projector/ igniter combo can sit more centered with a proper mounting bracket like what Lou sells.

Let me correct from the earlier post:

Clock the igniter with the cable facing straight up as shown in Alex's picture below:

And voila, cap fits on beautifully, with the correct angle (exit facing down and in toward the center)

Note: I did the conversion in 2007 using the TSX projectors (post #68) by removing the LX halogen projector (the lens/bowl hosing) and mounted the TSX's using the original bracket/shroud assembly. I did not use an aftermarket bracket. This said, I don't know how using brackets that are currently available affect mount depth/width +/- to my config. I guess i could try them...but my situation is probably not going to apply to those using the brackets that are available now.

Mine are mounted with no bracket either. Here is how I did mine:

Simple new product coming to the site. 90 degree brackets to mount your Morimoto HID ballasts, they each bolt to factory threaded holes on the radiator support. These will be available on their own or offered as a bundle with @LJE 's 3D printed projector caps. Currently designed to allow the Morimoto ballasts to mount either vertically or horizontally, but if there's another ballast you'd like compatibility with, I can make that happen. These should be available by the end of this coming week.

Ordered some tools. Thanks for doing this! 😃

Thank you! Would your order be under John K? If so, it's packaged and going out tomorrow.

To those who ordered early on, PLEASE let me know if your packaging arrives damaged and missing pieces. I've had 2 guys reach out with some items missing from their order. I (probably foolishly) used some bubble mailers in the first dozen orders that ultimately weren't up to the task. I've gotten those replacement items out immediately.

Little growing pains, but already improving. Thanks to everyone for supporting the site.

T shirts have been ordered and will be on the site soon as well!
