Thank you! Would your order be under John K? If so, it's packaged and going out tomorrow.

To those who ordered early on, PLEASE let me know if your packaging arrives damaged and missing pieces. I've had 2 guys reach out with some items missing from their order. I (probably foolishly) used some bubble mailers in the first dozen orders that ultimately weren't up to the task. I've gotten those replacement items out immediately.

Little growing pains, but already improving. Thanks to everyone for supporting the site.

T shirts have been ordered and will be on the site soon as well!
I was missing the small round sticker ;). Ha. Received tool in good condition. Thank you

New product coming to the site soon! Just waiting on a few final bits of data and some prototype miles. All credit for the design and modeling go to @LJE . Initially, I just had the idea to mount some lighting on the back of my truck, tucked up under the whale tail spoiler so I could let people behind me know their high-beams were on. Aggressive? Maybe. Practical? Maybe. I also wanted some capability to mount radio antennae and other accessories up high. Then I started seeing people with issues finding good replacement OEM spoilers, and having bad luck with the cheapies from AliExpress.

Early prototype was a one-piece unit designed with bend-out features like light mounts and antenna base. This was designed within my limitations of 2D modeling here at my home shop using my own plasma table.

These thoughts and initial designs/prototypes were expressed to Alex (LJE) and next thing we know, he's put together a beautiful design that encompasses all of my original ideas in a much nicer looking package.

Enter, the MSS-L (you can just call it the Missile!)

The Modular Spoiler System - Lightweight (MSS-L) is the ultimate upgrade to your 100 Series Landcruiser or LX470's rear hatch - created by The Artisan Garage and designed by Lumberjack Engineering (Alexander Flick). Taking aerodynamic cues from both the 100 series original spoiler and all the cool stealth aircraft of the 1980s, this spoiler adds a large amount of both functionality and customizability to your truck & looks great while doing it!

Just looking to replace that broken old spoiler that you snapped off in the carwash last week? We've got you. Want to add chase lights to drastically increase safety while offroading in severely dusty conditions? Absolutely. Need to mount a GMRS or HAM antenna up high? Easy!

The MSS-L is laser cut from aluminum and precisely CNC bent to achieve an incredibly strong design, all while weighing only 4 lbs (bare). The modular design allows for complete customizability for your specific needs - the central section mounts the two 'wings' via stainless steel fasteners on internally bent flanges, creating a single rigid unit. The wings can be bare to just provide a slick modern look & update to your 100 series hatch, or they can also incorporate provisions for mounting pod lights/antennas/etc. This modular design also allows the MSS-L to follow the contour (as seen from above) of the rear spoiler far better than a single piece of metal would be able to.

The MSS-L will directly mount to the factory 'old style' (black plastic) spoiler holes already present in many early LCs/LXs, or it can be added on via drilling 4 holes (using the provided drill guide) and installing rivnuts into your rear hatch. The MSS-L will come with engineered 3D printed brackets, however, the system is designed in such a way that the mounting bolt passes through the MSS-L, through the bracket, and threads into the hatch rivnuts. That means these 3D printed brackets are always loaded in compression, making them very strong. Gasket material will be provided for the brackets as well to maintain a perfect water-tight seal with ease. Since we have the ability to 3D scan the body lines of the vehicle, the brackets match the contours of the rear hatch perfectly.

Currently pictured is a 3D rendered MSS-L that is setup to utilize a Baja Designs S2 light on either side, mounted within 3D printed 'pods'. The pods shown are exquisitely engineered to angle the lights downwards just enough to avoid blinding anyone behind you, while still performing great as chase lights for dusty environments.

While the Baja S2s are ultra rugged, very bright, and backed by a great warranty - they definitely come with an associated cost. Don't need that level of performance? Easy! There will be options for different 3D printed pods that support a variety of lighting options - everything from Amazon specials up to the excellent Baja Designs light, and everything in between. Let us know if there's a light you'd like integrated!
As mentioned, the MSS-L will be aluminum, fasteners will be stainless steel, and all 3D printed parts will be ASA for strength, heat resistance, & UV stability over the long term. We're in final development right now & hope to have unit pricing soon as we work through the last of the prototype stage - the aluminum will be laser cut & bent right here in the USA by a local machine shop in Georgia, and the 3D printed parts will be made in Indiana by Lumberjack Engineering.

This is absolutely a flagship product for The Artisan Garage, and I can't thank @LJE enough for putting in the work to help make it happen. I am NOT a designer and even moreso NOT an engineer, so having a brilliant left-brained engineer to put this together really moved the project along. As stated previously, pricing info is a ways out. Still need to finalize a few small details before coordinating with my fabrication shop to put out prototypes. This will NOT be vaporware- it is something I've been picking at for quite a while. 100s will be the first models to get the item, and other Toyota models will follow.

There will be new products dropped on www.TheArtisanGarage.com by tomorrow evening, and even more coming over the weekend or early next week. If you haven't had a chance to take a look at the site, do it now before everyone else knows how cool it is and you're the odd-man-out!

... and let's be honest: Landcruisers are made to have missiles mounted to them!

Super excited about this project - it's been a blast...other than dealing with the triple-compound angle that the light pods have to have. Those can go shove it. What idiot designed that in the first place? Oh, yeah, that's me. 🤣

Projects like these that get to meld different manufacturing technologies and materials together to make it work are the best.

The 3-piece design should make shipping non-trivially cheaper too!

We need a nail and oil dispenser to take care of the tailgaters.

I cannot wait to see this missle launcher mounting apparatus in real life! I think there might be some good “testing” in my neighborhood for such attachments. Haha Yuss!

100 Series Engine Bay Auxbeam Switchboard Mounting Bracket

This is a nice little guy to mount an Auxbeam RA80 or RA80XL switchboard inside the engine bay of your 2003 - 2007 100 Series using factory holes on the inside of the driver's fender - no drilling required! While it has been specifically engineered and validated with the Auxbeam RA80 & RA80XL, this mounting solution was designed for maximum flexibility for use with a wide range of auxiliary switch boxes - there should be no issues using it with any of the 'dual sided' Auxbeam setups (RB80, RB-80XL, AR820).

In addition to providing an ultra-rigid mount for the switchbox itself, this also provides an engineered mounting location for the 60 amp breaker included in the Auxbeam kits. Clean up your wiring runs & get your engine bay looking tidy! This is a great way to minimize wiring volume going in to the cabin by running your accessories to the switchboard. Designed by Lumberjack Engineering and laser cut for precision. Comes in raw 12ga steel allowing your finish of choice. Includes mounting hardware.

Last but not least, a new Scan Gauge II Mount!

100 Series Steering Column Scan Gauge II Mount

I'll admit, I tried double-side taping my Scan Gauge II to the top of my steering column. It didn't work. So Lumberjack Engineering came up with this slick snap-on unit printed from UV resistant ASA material. No drilling required, no tape needed. It has a satisfying "snap" in to the recesses above each stalk on the side of the column. Comes in black; run it as-is or paint to your preference. Provides an excellent viewing angle for vital info and leaves your sunglasses holder in tact. Also comes with cable extender and snap-on hood for glare reduction.

Still plenty of stock of the 1UZ Fan Clutch Wrench and 100 Series Front Diff Bushing Press Tool. These have been very popular and I've just replenished on-hand inventory. If there is enough interest, I will offer these as a bundle together as well.

That's it for now! Keep an eye on this post or www.TheArtisanGarage.com for even more items coming soon!

Just ordered the HID cap/mount bundle! Thinking about the scangage mount. Has anyone provided feedback on a good color match for the tan interior, and is the material fairly ready to paint?

You're packaged and will go out tomorrow! I was excited to see a VB address, that's my home town :) Thanks for your order!

I still need to get the column trim in to a store to find a paint match. For the tan interior, our columns are actually brown. For tan interior trim, I've had good luck with a Krylon Khaki color. Used it on my current overhead SG II mount and it looks great. For this part, I think brown is going to be the move. I'll post here when I find a match, unless someone beats me to it.

If painting, I would plan to sand a little. I'm going to do some experimenting with my own column mount and see what happens when I toss it in my blast cabinet.

@CW100 Snagged my last pair of ballast mounting brackets for his sweet new TEQ Customs retrofit project. So, we're at the table today. Here are about a dozen pairs of this item fresh off the plasma table. They'll get cleaned up, bent, and added to the site's inventory!

I've added the 1UZFE Fan Clutch Wrench and the 100 Series Front Diff Bushing Press Tool as a combo bundle on www.TheArtisanGarage.com . Now you can get the pair of tools for $10 off separate pricing. Click HERE to see the listing.

I've also updated inventory on the 100 Series Morimoto HID Ballast Mount to reflect new items. Should have plenty in stock now for a little bit.

More 100 Series Steering Column SGII mounts are also on the way!

lastly, The Artisan Garage T-shirts are on the way! I hope to have them available on the site by middle of next week.

Thanks to everyone for your orders and support of the site!

The Artisan Garage has added T-shirts!

The Artisan Garage T-shirts

These guys are super soft, and I should know: I just folded and individually bagged 100 of them. I'm even wearing one right this second while I post this.

I you're looking for some fresh duds and willing to help support the site, swing by and snag a T-shirt. It'll make me feel good and you look really cool.

I have not looked to see if one is available but looking at that awesome Auxbeam Switchboard Mount made me think you could make something similar to mount an ARB twin air compressor if you're looking for ideas.

Would those projector back side caps work on a LC? Im about to do an HID retrofit

As far as I'm aware, the projector caps are exclusive to the LX, but neither @LJE or myself have a cruiser nearby to test them on. If you'd be willing to post a picture of the back of your passenger side headlight housing, I can try to give a better idea.
