Call it internet lunacy but there's a theory that favre and filoni are setting the scene to erase episodes 7-9.
Personally I hope they do. Making Luke a limp dick quiter and Han a deadbeat dad was an insult.
Yeah I grew up with this stuff and it irks me when Hollywood makes sequels or remakes old stories just to piss on our childhoods.

Episodes 7-9 are derivative crap.

Abrams et al had the Expanded Universe, among other things, at their disposal, and ignored it. They opted for fan service and social justice warrior nonsense instead.

I do hope they erase them.
