I asked my older daughter if I need to know what happened in a bunch of cartoons I never watched to understand what is going on in the Kenobi TV show, kind of how they brought out the blue guy gunslinger in Boba Fett and she said “probably.”
While Clone Wars is a cartoon, it has a lot of important Star Wars detail in even the cheesy episodes. George Lucas was involved a lot in the series. Once you start watching it and get through a few episodes you'll want to watch more. Once you make it to season 2 you will start to not care it's a cartoon. At first I thought it looked dumb. But I was home sick and decided to watch it. Once I got into it I really liked it.

Since you guys recommended Clone Wars to me, I’ve watched it, Rebels and Bad Batch…well I downloaded and listened to most of them like an audio book. I went back and watched the ones I thought were really good.

Clone Wars is good, but I wouldn’t say all of it is good after season 2. There is still a lot of filler episodes sprinkled throughout. I think if I were to recommend it to people, I would just follow the Maul storyline. There are other good episodes and story arch’s, but my goodness the Maul episodes are phenomenal.

I think I liked Rebels more than CW. Probably an unpopular opinion, but I thought the episodes were more consistent in quality and content. Again, any episode with Maul was over the top.

Bad Batch was aight. I didn’t think it was all that special. Provided good entertainment for being in a tractor for multiple hours a day though.

Tough to imagine listening to it on audio. I think it would be tough to grasp some of the drama and action. Glad you liked it though.

I had it mounted to the window, so I glanced over occasionally. We have auto-steer on our tractors so it helps, but you still have to pay attention most of the time.

<snip>As we previously reported, Darth Maul was originally going to appear in "Obi-Wan Kenobi" as one of the main antagonists. However, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy intervened, had the scripts retooled, and it was Dave Filoni, the man behind "The Clone Wars" and "Star Wars Rebels," who helped guide them to Vader. Let us not forget that Filoni is the one who reunited Obi-Wan and Maul in "Rebels," providing a definitive conclusion to that journey. Bringing Maul into the fold would have, in some ways, contradicted what already exists. Vader, on the other hand, might be able to add something to the lore.
</snip>

I don't disagree that a storyline about Vader in the years between RotS and ANH would be good. I think they covered the Maul/Kenobi arc pretty well in Clone Wars.

Got bookworms? Drug this out of the distant past box. Not worth anything but still readable.

These little catalogs came with the larger toys. You could even order stuff that was mail order only.

Yes, there were book versions too.

And if they want to bring back Maul, it should be in the new Ahsoka series.
