Got the snorkel on!
Install took a while, didn't want to get it wrong.
There is plenty of info on how to get this thing on, so i wont go into detail. If you have a question feel free to ask tho.

The snorkel could not have landed in a better position, I am very very happy with it. I believe my roommate got it of amazon for around $80.

NOW FOR THE BETTER NEWS!
The order is in for a 4x4 Labs rear, dual swing outs for tire and Jerry cans! :bounce::);):bounce2::cool::p:D:cheers::clap::hmm::hillbilly::meh::lol::steer:

You guys have such an awesome fleet!

We are going to turn into the First Order here soon haha.
And we are looking forward to the trip in May;)

I have a gallon and a half of white monsta. How much did you actually use? Did you roll it all or spray then roll? Did you do the door jambs?

Real nice work by the way!

I uses a full 2 gallons and I did not do the door jams. You should get another gallon and I rolled it all on.

@justintpryor I'm enjoying your build progress. My '95 is also white, so I'm partial to your color choice;). Nice job on the Monstaliner job. I'm planning on doing mine maybe next summer. No hurry, since my paint is in good nick still. But when the time comes I will also go white again. My question is which shade of white did you go with in the end?

Also, you mentioned rubbing with the 35s. Care to go into more detail please? I'm contemplating getting 35s when my rubber needs to be replaced. Thanks

I don't remember what shade of white I went with, actually I just looked up their colors and they seem to have only one white.
Monstaliner do-it-yourself roll-on truck bed liner
It is a much brighter white than the factory white, next time a see a white 80 I will stop next to it and take a picture.

In the back the tires are rubbing on the inside of the fender under flex, not to bad but if I really load up the back it will become an issue. The front has only rubbed in the dunes. I was hitting on the top of both fenders at the same time, I was hitting stuff hard tho. When I add armor I must go with heavy springs front and rear. I think I am going to just lower the bump stops and get the slee 4 inch kit when I can afford it. I am running the OME 2.5in on the light springs right now.

thanks. Good to know. I also have the 2.5 lift with the heavy springs. Don't really want more lift though. I will do some more reading to see how other folks with the same setup as mine do with 35s.

Nice Rig

Top view of some reinforced lower control arms that made it onto my 80 today!
No longer worried about them at all, these are more stout than most sliders.

And I cruised the Oceano dunes the other day:steer:

Sliders are next:banana:

Its been awhile and a lot has happened to the lambo lately.
Here are some pics of a trip to sand mountain NV from a couple months ago. It was an awesome trip. Sand mountain was way different than the pismo dunes, which was my only other sand wheeling experience before this.

rock in sand + sunset = perfect picture!

More recently the lambo has been getting a lot of attention because she is signed up for RUBITHON!

Sliders, 4plus. They are freaking stout, and the cat protection is bomb proof.

She also has two home brew skids to protect her underside and front diff armor.

Today I changed diff fluid and engine oil, and I got those nice allen plugs for the diffs.
All that's left is mounting the winch and I'm ready to tackle the con at the end of the month:cool:
