D90 looks awesome! How did the seats turn out?

Got the rear seats finished, and they are great. Haven't tackled the fronts yet.

Have you asked the Mods to change your handle????

:)

I think wont...

rear bumer looks great

Nice work! That's a lot of painstaking on and off retouch here and there back breaking work. Looks like you've put new tail lights in.

update

Finally carved out some time to work on the LX. Got the front seats recovered and installed the seat heaters. I put new cushions in the seat bottoms and backs of both the front seats. This was pricey, but my gosh I didn't know how worn out the old ones were. The new seats are very comfortable. Makes the :princess: very happy!!

Also got the rear bumper finished up and painted. It is installed on the truck, but I still haven't figured out how to build the other swing out. I already have the arm finished, but don't know what to put on it. I need to carry extra gas for sure (tiny fuel tank makes me nervous in the back country for several days at a time) but can't decide if I might put it up top??? Need to mount my hi lift and shovel somewhere also (also maybe up top). Could sure use a ladder to get to all the stuff on top. Big decisions!!! Suggestions?

I also got the key part for my next project in the mail saturday! Thanks TRDparts4U. They were having a sale and free shipping. I will start on my rear storage system this week. As well as the dual battery system that is on its way here now.

Yesterday I installed pfran's interior led lights, marker lights and 7 Cree reverse lights.... AWSOME!!!! The back up lights are worth their weight in gold in my opinion. I also installed a pair of rigid D2s on the front bumper and have a rigid dually with diffuser lense to mount on the back for a work light.

Waiting for my dual battery kit and fridge slide to get going on the next projects. What do you guys recommend for aux. fuse blocks? I want one in front for lights and in cabin electronics, and one in rear for fridge, work light and power inverter.

Looking good TexasD90!
There must of been a lot of left over funds from the sale of your Defender.... ;)

Today I got all the wiring done for the dual battery system. I used the National Luna from Equipt, and it is a very easy install, and high quality kit. I also ran a dedicated circuit for my ARB fridge, and installed the second battery tray. Now all I have to do is drop the battery in (after I pick it up tomorrow), and hook up the wires (already installed all the wires with terminals). Took some pictures but having trouble uploading right now. I will post them up tomorrow along with the finished photos.

I am thinking about selling my expo/camping trailer and going with a roof top tent on the 80. I think I can get all the rest of our gear in the back. What are your thoughts on that. Is it easier to camp out of a trailer or just the truck. What I like about the trailer is you set it up, and then you can drive away from it, and there is not all that weight on top. Seems like a pain to take the roof tent up and down every day so you can go wheeling/exploring. What do you guys think??

I really like the idea of a rooftop setup, l but I don't think it will work for me. I do a lot of camping on the beach which means a lot of driving around after camp is setup.

Maybe think about a rooftop setup on a hi-lift utility trailer, maybe the military style ones. Trailer and tent all in one..
