I finally got my green canvas Ehsan top test fitted. I'll have to take it off and paint the bows but it sure is nice.
My only problem is the landcruiser is now 83" tall and won't fit in my poor excuse of a garage.

Hey Alex, is the 7 window top the standard top? Ehsan also threw in a bikini top for the trouble. Once the top was shipped it was to my door in 5 days! Thanks again for the help.

Very nice, thanks for sharing

Really good looking top.....how easily did it install and how do you like the quality/fit? Considering the hiccups you encountered, was it worth it?

Yeah it was worth it. The top fits really tight and doesn't flap around at all. The quality of the material and workmanship is outstanding and considering the trouble that is going on in Pakistan it's a wonder Ehsan can get anything to us.
The bows were the only trouble and I'll still have to drill a couple more holes. I had to trim about 4" off the door post bow but everything else was pretty simple. It would be nice if the kit came with the snaps you'll need, but overall it was well worth it.
If someone was to import a whole bunch of tops I'd probably pick up a black vinyl top also:). The bikini top Ehsan sent is made of really nice stuff. I'll get some pictures of that up tomorrow.

I am working on both issues as we speak. :)

Very nice looking top. Is there a price list for Ehsan's items or web site somewhere? Interested in how much that will set me back and how many flowers I'll have to buy my wife when I do pick one up.

.....nice strategy.....:) to deal with the :princess:

The top is $400, the bow set $400, and shipping was $530. $1330 total. The shipping is what kills you, the wife was cool with the purchase. Thought it would be the other way around!

I'm posting these pictures of the zippers for Alex (SouthBostonFJ).

Yeah, there's blue ink all over this thing but it seems to be fading out pretty quickly. The zippers are all metal and have USA on the pull tab. I think the older tops had plastic zippers.?.

A couple of the stitching:

I've read it in the past. But get it done and I know you'll end up with an order from us. Unless Dad gets antsy and orders one from Ehsan directly (he hasn't gotten any responses from him yet).

BTW--I haven't seen any 5 window pictures. Am I missing something? The 7 window tops look great, but how about the 5 window tops?!?!

Ehsan is directing everyone to me.

PM sent.

How well do the sides roll up, if you have tried that yet. Do they go up into nice neat rolls? If the sides and the back roll up nicely and tuck out of the way I think that is almost as good as a bikini top. Let me know if/when you get a chance to try rolling up the sides and back

Thanks for the pics

I am very interested in seeing a couple shots of how your bikini top fits.. i had some issues with mine.. Thanx.

ALSO i suggest you treat that thing with some Canvak or Maguires water/mildew proofing stuff asap or the color will fade as fast as the pen marks are.. (maybe faster).

LOOKS GREAT!

I haven't rolled up the sides or back yet but here's a link that'll answer your question:
Soft Top Installation (Pakistan) Part 2 <photo-caption />

It's coming off tonight until I treat it and paint the bows. Where is Maguires available and is it as good as Canvak?

Thanks for the advice.
