Only took 30 minutes or so to get the injection lines loose enough to install the 5 brackets that secure the lines. It seems like overkill for that many brackets but I guess that's part of why we like these trucks.

those brackets are very important, the lines will rattle and crack without them! Killer hj47 build, cant wait to see the finished product! Cheers

Thanks Whitey. I saw a 45 on the Survivorman show last week. He was in Africa stranded in the desert somewhere. Probably a HJ45. Nice trucks!

Got the radiator overflow / washer fluid tank and O ring for the centrifugal oil filter. So I took the time to clean up the mounting hardware and painted it. I'm starting to clean and re-wrap the wiring harness in preparation for getting it back on the truck. Let the confusion begin.

Good God those tanks are sexy. Where did you get them?

Dave Steadman at Japan 4x4 , He's the man for these hard to find (non-USA ) parts. Henry James the 47th suggested I try him. Thanks again for that advise brother.

Wiring loom for the rear is installed. I got a used rear brake light plug from SOR and wired it in. This rear wiring section services the rear lights, water/fuel separator, fuel tank sender, pressure tank, and the brake booster (I think). The last plug seemed to end at the booster, so that's where it's plugged for now. When I get the rest of the wiring in I'll hopefully be secure in where everything is plugged in.

I think that reverse light wire connects to one of the other sections of the wire loom. Am I wrong?

I'm not entirely sure. On mine, I wired the tachometer sender and reverse light switch, since they are close by one another, on their own sub-harness. My wiring was such a mess and I ended up completely reconfiguring it in the switch from RHD to LHD, so as far as what was factory original, I can't be sure.

Mine doesn't have a tach, I did install a tiny tach though which runs off the fuel pulses in one of the fuel lines. The wire loom that runs from the back on my rig terminates at the area there by the brake master. Looking at one of the others sections of the loom , l see another wire marked shifter wire.
I'm assuming that goes to the reverse indicator. I hope!

I got a few things installed today. The fuel filler tube protector piece, the transfer case brush guard and the battery tray. I got a custom battery tray from the guys at Global Extreme 4X4 in Hobe Sound Fl. I think it's a nice piece for not much $$.

I need a little help determining what this piece is. It's in primer but I can't recall where it goes. Someone out there knows. What is this mystery part?

Oh man!

I can't wait to see the big picture of the resto.

It looks to me like that sucker is clean enough to eat off!

Thanks HJ47, I can mount that plate now. As far as those bolts sticking up on the battery tray, I'm going to put something in there to keep the battery from resting on the bolts. Some kind of spacer. I could use flat head type screws instead as well.
