Hi ALL, I have decided to change my 442 fully hydrolic tranny for a H151f from 100 series cruiser. as it was realy difficult for me to find one here which came from an 80 series I bought this one
The H151f comes from 100-series VX-land cruiser, which has separate seat type. The differences between bench seat and separate seat type is that shifters are located in different position. The main gear shifter is located in the middle of center console but the N-H-L lever is far behind this conole , just under the refrigirator. I will probably need to add one lever.
But the good news is that the H151F trany comes from 2005 donor 100 series cruiser(1hd-fte), and they are newer.
The H151F have 14splin on input shaft so i have ordered the 300mm clutch from toyota, flywheel, Presuare plate, Disk, bearings.
Here is a foto of 100 series H151F separate seats type model

At the same time i will change the engine rear oil seal, the little bearing which is centering the shaft of H151F. For this moment I am waiting for other parts from Toyota, menawhile i want to remouve the VC from t-case.

I have also ordered both clutch cylinders, pedal, tubing.

The H151F missing the actuator, will the old actuator fit this one?
Is there something else - better to change before the Tranny is mounted?
I am wondering if the Center dif lock and other wirings will work with this T-CASE?
and one more question, will i need to cut the body part when installing the tranny if I have 5cm body lift done ?

I'll Keep you updated as I start the Conversion works

PS. Thanks for your assistance! especially to Tapage

Nice swap.

Subscribed.

nice .. interesting here 2000 on they start to came with R151 and not with the H version .. actually 105 series came with R150 ..

Still have an issue to solve in my swap and it's the 4WD light in my dash .. :D

R151F is a light series Georbox which were in Hilux and 4runners, Toyota have coupled it only with HZ engines in 105 series, ( 105 series with petrol engines do have H151F hd boxes)
in simple 100 series (equivalent to Lexus 470) (no front rigid axel) there is no (HZ engines as i know) only Turbodiesels (1HD-FT & 1HD-FTE) and petrole engines, these engines have more power than HZ so that is why they have H151F insted of R151f.

HZ Engines -- H150F after 2000 --R151F
HD-T, HD-FT, HD-FTE -- H151F

HD-T and HZ clutch diameter are both 275mm
HD-FT and HD-FTE clutch diameter 300mm

Here is the diffrence detween H151/150(on the left) and light series R151F(on the right) Boxes , the difference is quit big

I have one question concerning the flywheel, I have ordered the new flywheel assambly (13405-17020)but i am not sure if the ring gear will be shipped separetely or it qill arrive already assembled?
if the ring gear will be separetly shiped do i have to balance the flywheel after puting the ring gear on flywheel??

All 80, 100 and 105 series cruiser with Fz engines where equiped with manual H151F transmissions. the only difference with diesels is the Bellhousing.

That part number is for the Flywheel sub assembly, ring gear will be attached to the flywheel already.

sure . .?

I never pay atention to the wife bellhousing .. but should

 So many jokes come to mind....

I make it a practice to never look at another man's wife's bellhousing.

(Or at least not get caught at it. :hillbilly: )

Yes, H151F the difference between petrol and turbodiesel is just bellhousing.
turbodiesel and petrol trannies are the same.

H150F never been instaled on petrol, but they are HD trannies
the difference is the first shaft (21splin) 1st and 2nd gearing. If i am not mistaken the bellhousing of petrol (H151F) will fit H150F

H151F
31111-60250 FZ Bellhousing
31111-60210 HD-T/ FT/FTE Turbodiesel bellhousing
H150F
33101-60210 HZ diesel bellhousing (same as Turbodiesel H151F)

33101-60012 H151F PETROL
33101-60012 H151F DIESEL

unfortunately i dont have the fotos of Fz bellhousing, to compare but i imagine that the engine block iz different petrol vs diesel. Part numbers is different also.
diesels sharing the same block as i know HZ/HD-T/FT/FTE

diesels sharing the same block as i know HZ/HD-T/FT/FTE

ya I know .. just now I'm curious about the diferences ..

I will take a fotos and some mesures of Diesel bellhousing so we can compare.
Hope to start swap this monday.

Swap is done, everything works great, as promised some pictures

otherwise we need to cut the roof (joke)

Cut the old cross member brakets and rewelded it 7cm closer to engine
the profesional welder required!

old automatic gear shifter now is low & high range shifter (bit shorter)

So H151f coming from 2002-2005 100 series cruiser fits to 80 series lc
without major modifications.

PS. I have done it myself with friend in my garage, the only professional quilified person needed is a welder. so who's next? :D

Thanks for your help !!couldn't done it without IH8MUD society!!
