Do you pour a quart or so of ATF into the Torque Convertor before installing
or like to add an inline filter after a rebuild?
You can pour some in the new convert , not a bad idea and Zero filter .. really clean inside my old one and new larger cooler. I will flush the radiator cooler with some fluid. Push through any particles that maybe inside it.

If the trans was burned clutched, broken metal parts ect then flush cooler and or replace radiator. Have not installed a filter on the cooler lines before.

Bug thing, not to restrict the cooler flow .. I saw a crankshaft thrust bearing get eaten up with collapsed hose in the oil cooler on a 4runner from someone vise grip the cooler hose closed on a radiator change abs collapsed the hose inside. This created converter pushing in the thrust and ate it up.

Seen this on a small block Chev years ago too.

Not common … Thrust eaten away …

Got my new Nomad valve body with Whosesale Transmissions separator plate installed in the valve body. It sticks out from between the valve bodies and had Whoesale name in the ear sticking out.

Installed the pan, and torque converter, kick down TV cable . It’s ready to bolt in the truck.

Take care

Tex

Also would be great to see photos with tips and tricks, which tools you used, etc to get the transmission installed.
