It seems the LX600, GX550 and LC all are super close. There doesnt seem to be much difference between the AHC, eKDSS, and sway bar disco in terms of the RTI.

Makes me appreciate the ol' AHC a bit more. I really think its a fantastic system. Maybe ill pick up a used LX600 one day when they arnt $100k

We've come a long way to appreciate AHC. This 200-series forum use to poo poo on it badly.

Thats a Bronco raptor specifically, so it has long travel from the factory and is 6" wider than a normal Bronco, The normal Bronco isnt that good I dont think.

It would be cool to see what an LX with sensor lift scores; it's possible it could score less than stock. Then ramp one with a sensor lift and 10~24mm front spacers and with E&E rear mount mod or similar custom rear shock mod. Then finally a TLC HE with the OME BP51 lift to compare them all.

Guessing we will never have this data because anyone who completes these sweet suspensions mods will never swap back to stock tires

The LC250, GX550 and LX600 are pretty close to matching the 200. Close enough that something as silly as tire pressure might have made the difference

Not sure why the Tacoma would be so much worse with a swaybar disco. Maybe it’s because the bumpstops are internal in the shocks now, where as the GX/LX/LC are still using dedicated bumpstops?

I believe it would be a wheelbase difference causing the RTI discrepancy...

So any vehicle with a longer wheelbase automatically gets a worse RTI? I thought that was accounted for in the calculation?

What’s the point of even using it as a comparison tool then?

Not exactly. What it's saying is that if two vehicles have the same linear articulation at the suspension pivot points and one has a longer wheelbase it will have a worse score. Theory being that in the real world, if you had a longer wheel base you would need more articulation than a shorter wheelbase vehicle to clear the same obstacles. At least, that's how i understand it.

That makes sense but also you would think the longer wheelbase would cause the truck to stay flatter and use more of its articulation vertically.

But it kinda makes the who comparison moot. A Ram Powerwagon with a 149" wheelbase getting a 655 RTI must absolutely destroy a 200 series in terms of actual wheel articulation.
