For starters I got a used unit. There was a Google Play account from some dude in Saudi Arabia. (I paid for a new unit, not a open box unit)

Second, the four (4) lower buttons don't work. I reset the unit to see if the previous guy screwed up the configuration. That didn't work and couldn't manually configure them. I regret resetting the unit because I forgot to snap a picture of the Saudi account. that's my fault.

I actually like the unit. The dimmer works, I have sound, the touchscreen AC controls work, GPS works. haven't hooked up the 3 cameras to it, so I don't know if that works.

That's not true, they have worked for others. Maybe not in this thread.
Maybe. Mine light up when the headlights are on but they dont do anything. I tried calling Rhino Radios but they kept forwarding my call to vm so I haven't spoken to them since receiving and installing this unit.

Mine lit up, but they also functioned just fine controlling Off, the defrosters, and the rear HVAC on/off. My guess is that the harness is not plugged in correctly for yours. Rhino's poor support was one of the reasons I decided to return mine.

Did anyone get the manufacture's installation instructions?

Just curious
There is no such thing. Your best bet is BigLittle's write-up on the first page of this thread: LC & LX470 Tesla Style Screen Radio Upgrade with Climate Control: General Discussions

I have that one... Just was wondering how a company will not send installation instructions to their product.

One wrong cable hooked up and you can damage the unit.

They actually did a pretty decent job with the wiring harness in my opinion. A lot of thing can get tweaked via software (I'm not very familiar with it).

does anyone use an inclinometer that isn't the home screen inclinometer? I installed Car Web Guru home screen and it doesn't have an inclinometer. Also. all the ones I've installed don't seem to work, ie they don't register the vehicle tile or roll at all.

After doing more research... I think that if you have the Lambo when the radio boots up, you have the wrong Car Type file loading.

I was able to figure out how to get to the Car Type... But I don't know which one I need for my LX.

Has anyone tried to contact RR about their head unit and got no response?

My unit doesn't work and they have decided to ignore it. I sent the pictures they asked and they went radio silent...

I installed PX6 in my 2006 LX470. Biggest problem is no sound at all. I saw the reply about turning original unit volume all the way up, shutting down and then installing the PX6 but hoping there is some other way since I already have everything connected.

I bought from Rhino too but haven’t tried to contact them for anything.

I recently installed a PX6 in my 2006 LX470 and I am having an airbag light issue. This same issue happened with the previous 3 model

Airbag light on dash is on, the the airbag light indicator is not active in dash

has anyone seen this or have a resolution?

UPDATE: So, I tried reinstalling the original OEM head unit, turning the volume all the way up, then disconnecting the OEM unit and reinstalling the PX6. This got the sound on, but way too loud. Mute worked, but even when setting the volume to the lowest non-mute volume (1), it was quite loud and settings greater than 1 were of course even louder. So, apparently, when I uninstalled the OEM unit the first time, the volume must have been off and this (somehow) was set as the baseline for the volume of the PX6 and not adjustable upwards to produce any volume at all.

The solution that worked for me was to once again reinstall the OEM head unit, turn the volume to about ¼ volume, uninstall the OEM unit, and then once again reinstall the PX6. The volume is now infinitely adjustable from very low to quite loud.

My next problem will be routing external microphone, installing optional 360 degree cameras, installing optional DVD player, and getting rear camera to work on the new unit.

Overall, I like the look and functionality of the new PX6 unit. It's just quite a pain to install.

Good luck to all!

Larry
