FYI, in case you're interested, a forum buddy asked me to find the part number for the roof console which shows the subtank gauge, a compass, the sunroof controls and the front map light, so I thought I would just post it here for anyone else who cares.

83290-60090 for the complete item, quoted price (pre-discount) USD 157.

I got the diagram, but can't scan it - if someone really wants it, and can scan/post it for all, I can fax it to you.

I've found on my microfims another nr, for assy with gauge & compass:
83290-60020

yours is for gauge & alti.

Or better yet, 83290-60080 which says it is for a GPS + Sub Fuel. A GPS would give you altitude, compass, and a lot of other things.

Anyone seen one of these in an 80 or anything else for that matter?

-better, depends what you do; for the gps, i prefer to use an Asus R2H umpc, with gps integrated, and oziexplorer and/or Touratech quovadis: it has a wider screen and a lot of functions as tracking & so on..

i would think microfilm parts lists would predate GPS as a commercial technology. that is a neat list in the sense that I did not realise you could go subtank/compass or subtank/altimeter. have to wonder why the flat landed australians got the altimeter if that was a choice.

In case they can't drive around this:

I like the Marks adapter very much but I wonder about heat. The roof area gets damn hot in the summer, particularly with a darker color vehicle and there is zero air circulation with that set-up. I'm concerned about that heat affecting the radio, especialy a high-power amater radio.

I just checked and -60080 costs about 1/3 of all the other gauges.

Not having seen one in person before I have NO IDEA what it looks like.

You can all chip in so I can get one to satisfy our curiosity.;)

I've got two of the consoles in for a couple of the forum members...

I Want Those Visors!

Ken,

Going from memory, either one of the meters and the cover(s) together, it costs about $400, plus shipping. That includes my cut, too.;)

As I suspected, the PN's were only (good) for the meters and the cover(s) have to be ordered separately, to match the interior.

If you want the visors like pictured above, since they are the "deluxe" model with the lights/mirrors, they are a little over $100, each. But if you want the "no frills" versions, then they're like $40, each. If you want to save $$, then you can just put up with the current visors or just chop them off and ask your wife to sow, I guess.:hillbilly:

I've thought about ordering the other version(s?) on the list that Luc had posted (other than the std. JDM type), but have not done it, yet.;)

I can get the exact cost later after I get back from a factory tour at Toyota Auto Body today.:grinpimp:

Does anyone know if there is a major difference between the visors for the pre-95 and post-95? I have a 96 with tan interior but the JDM visors only come in gray for the 96 and later.

...If you want the visors like pictured above, since they are the "deluxe" model with the lights/mirrors, they are a little over $100, each.....

is my 1990 JDM pre-wired to accept the deluxe/lighted version?
If not, where is a good power source to tap into for the lights?
what's the P/N of the deluxe viso? no-frills visor?

Please help or point me in the right direction

And the visors mentioned above by George...

and the magnetic field sensor needed if you get the console with the compass.

do you have the wiring harness, sensor and mounting bracket that you are willing to sell? All I have is the console.
