do you have the wiring harness, sensor and mounting bracket that you are willing to sell? All I have is the console.

The last time I checked at least the bracket is no longer available from Toyota.

I'm checking into the wiring harness right now.

Was this the only factory location for the subtank guage? I already have the alti and compass.

Actually I have seen a picture somewhere on Mud of the a secondary fuel gauge in the cluster. I don't know that it was for a petrol 80, may have been a diesel.

Hi, Prosset,
would you accept to fax me the diagram ?
I would scan it& post it on Mud for all if you're OK.
My fax# : +33 325 55 79 92.
Thanks!:)
Luc.

I got the diagram, but can't scan it - if someone really wants it, and can scan/post it for all, I can fax it to you.

While i was looking at 80's for sale on Aussie Ebay i spotted a couple of base models (i think they call them standards) which had the subtank gauge incorporated into the main instrument cluster. I think it was in place of the rev counter.

Extremely old thread but can the part number in Post #1 still be had? Is the price still same?

Are you talking about the OEM console, sub tank meter, or the Mark's 4WD console/CB housing?

I'm sure you can still get any of them...

Mot looked into the meter for the alt/sub earlier this year...

83290-60090 $425
83290-60010 superceded by 83290-60090, which is same as above $425

They can be ordered new from Toyota...not cheap, and you have to wait for it to be made! I have been looking for a used one to pop up since then. Also, you will need the surround (I have that already).

I have the JDM one, not with the sub gauge, but with the compass with the OEM console.

Since the compass would be useless w/o the magnetic sensor it would only work for someone who would want to use the altimeter portion of it or just gut it and use it to install radio or aux. meters.

Good luck!!

If you want the visors like pictured above, since they are the "deluxe" model with the lights/mirrors, they are a little over $100, each. But if you want the "no frills" versions, then they're like $40, each.

Hey Mot...

Can you still get the deluxe visors and or the no frills visors in oak/tan? If so, how much?

The fancy tan/oak have been discontinued for quite some time now.

If you want them you will either have to get the gray ones and re-upholster(sp) or cut your existing ones and sew them back up!

Good luck!!

how much are the grey ones??

I haven't priced them lately but with the weak US$ your cost would be $175-ish/side, plus shipping.

Yeah, not really worth it to go that route if you ask me!

I was hot and heavy for the same visors but finally got a used set and modified them myself. They are on the work bench in my garage until I find a shop to upholster them for me. I think I am going with a leather look vs the stock material.

Watched an Alti-Sub console for the past week on ebay.com.au...went for $182 OZ, a bit too much for my taste as still would have had to pay freight to the US.

I have a set of non-mirrored ones...decent shape and may put them up for sale. Would rather have my mirrored ones modified to fit the console...lord knows the grief I would get from the :princess: if I took away the vanity mirrors. Gotta keep on her good side, as I almost have her convinced that a Snork is a necessary item. ;)
