You needed a half inch carriage bolt, but used a 1/4 inch. If you weld a bead on the outer race it will fall out when it cools.
 
Same has the bread trick except use grease and something that just fits the inner hole, hit it, then pack more grease in and try again these.
 
Hydraulic Pressure. Right now, the end of the bearing came off, and I can see the balls. So I put my puller in again and but some pressure on it, and soaked the insides with WD40 and PB Rust. Leave it sit overnight, but not too confident.

I had a SBC pilot bushing that wouldn't come out. I finally got it out using a grade 8 bolt. I found one that would just start into the bushing then ran it in with a 1/2" air wrench. As the bolt bottomed out, it pushed the bushing out.

Update: I had a 3 prong puller and used it as a semi slam hammer and vundeba'. It's out. ON to the next challenge.
