The wagon came to a stop shortly after this pic was taken... the pumpkins were dragging, spring perches were buried and I was STUCK...

Fort Drum, NY, at night, where we shouldn't have been, with no recovery vehicle or winch.

Hey, do you know Austin who's up at Ft. Drum? Drives a blue '88 62?

The Fort Drum stuck was about 5 years ago, so I haven't been up there to see any cruisers.

you should use straps for recovery not chains if possible. especially if pulling it with another vehicle.

That must be gilmer mud...

Some undeveloped land between Coppell and Lewisville off 121... prob trespassing, giving ORVs a bad rep, putting myself at risk, etc. It was a 'one time romp' that got really messy... :bounce:

May I never be that stuck...

Skeg is the worst. It was grassy and looked dryish, all of a sudden buddy in the red XJ sunk to his bumper, I parked my truck and we walked up to look at the situation. Within the five minutes I was out of my truck, it sunk 6 inches to the pumpkin and I was stuck. Buddy in the black XJ had the same problem when trying to get him out.

We ended up cutting down and stripping trees, got them under the tires and got me out, I backed up to dry grass, pulled the black XJ out, and after both of us tugging on him with no luck, we had to call for three other trucks to come in and get him out. We were stuck there for 14 hours, from 10pm-noon the next day, 2 hours from town.

Much damage?

Some small dents and scratches on the rear quarter panel and the passenger door. The passenger window sounds like nails run across a chauk board when open/closing, otherwise you'd never know it was on its side.

Started raining when help arrived.

Small tug from a Warn equipt CJ and I'm back in business. Started right up. I probably should've checked the oil.

Here's two shots of my many times being stuck.

Both take place in Tennessee near where I go to school.

The first is being high centered. I was given a quick yank back and then gave it another shot and was able to make it through.

The second I thought I could turn around in a solid looking area. Well it turned out as soon as my tires spun I sank right in. I ended up being winched out. That mud was about the same consistence as peanut butter. NASTY!

This at Windrock?

if you look very very carefully, you can see the 9.0 in the blue boardbag w/ a red 6 foot-something on top of it. Inside. Cuz there's no rack.

Besides, a 9.0 fits *perfectly* from the dash to the rear hatch. Heck, a 9.2 would probably fit fine.

Great snow stuck. What the *hell* happened to that hilift? and to what were you winching.

I typically surf 6'6" to 7'0" but I have a 10'0" Intruder that I can fit inside my 60.
What break was that? I don't see any passes like that up here in Norcal!

EDIT: Just found it.. Avelinas. Nice! How is the drive through Baja as of late?
