I have currently 3 fj40's 1 fj60, am looking to upgrade the stable with a fj55. What are the swines going for now? The one i am looking at does not run but is complete and has no rust or damage. I guess what i really want to know is if they are skyrocking like the 40's are?:o

Well what yr is it? Any mods like lift, bumper, power steering, discs up front, etc, etc? When is the last time it ran? Cause it could be anything from a quick fix to an engine swap. No rust anywhere? or does that mean little spots of rust in the usual places like tailgate doors and front fenders? Pics? Price is going up some but based on your description I can't guess a price for you.

I cant get any pics, but it is a '69 model and the only rust anywhere is surface rust on the hood. I have crawled all over this thing and the body is perfect. I believe the last time it ran was 10 years ago, maybe longer? No big deal though i have tons of motors and disk brake axles to make it driveable. Does that description clear it up any?

$$

For under $2000 in your spot I would buy it in a second. They don't make them anymore and it is a classic.

If you don't want it I might...PM me please if you pass.

A straight rust free body here in the rust heaven that is the south is pretty nice. Although non running for 10+ years its a long way and a lot of work from any kind of usability. I dont think I would pay a heck of a lot for it. Maybe like $1500little more if the paint is really good but I imagine after this long it will need new paint to really show.

the paint is not so good, but the body is what i am after. I always like a project, i just have to finish my 40 so i can make room in the shop for this beast!

can you get the title?

i had a 55 1970 stolen from me i was offered 6 grand 5 years ago,and it was full of dents but no rust.hard to come by man more so were i am from

All you need is a bill of sale from the previous owner to get your tag and get it registered in your name. Any vehicle before 1975 this applies to.

A small amount of elbow grease to remove the surface rust and getting it rolling will up the value a bunch. But it really depends on what else is good and usable, like interior components, vinyl, shape of hydraulic system, etc. I'd guess $500-3500, it just depends on the whole shebang.
