anyone out there running stock chevy rims would like to see pics and get any info you have, and yes i searched but came up empty. thanks in advance

the 70's vintage Chev truck rims I tried many years ago center hole was not large enough to clear the front hubs. Didn't verify backspacing but is an important consideration on any other rim.

center bore on chevy wheels is not large enough and needs to be opened up to fit on a toyota.

Easy enough if you've got a good local machine shop, or know someone who can do it :D

I'm kinda curious about this, if it'll open up more options for wheels to use when I go SOA.

The old chevy rims look pretty good too in my opinion. Someone want to run down to a junkyard to measure one up?

Some Chevy rims work. The spare for my '55 is on a Chevy rim.

yea, my brother in lay is runnin em on his 40. you really dont have to make it all that pretty as long as the clearance is there as the wheels are lug centric and center up when the lug nuts are installed, so if you made the center bore a square it would be ok as long as you put the wheels on correctly.

which is why toyota wheels will work on a chevy even when the center bore is so much larger with no problems.

i mean think about it alot of vehicles dot even have a hub for the wheel to ride on and rely solely on the lug nuts to center it all up to be true.

so feel free to use an angle grinder, plasma, sawsall ect:hillbilly:

I think I remember seeing (a few years ago) a picture here on Mud with one of Waggoner5's with some chevy rally wheels. It was a white 60...

not the best pics, but here are a couple of my 40s with rally rims. when i get home, i'll have to see if i can find pics of my old 60with rallys on

Very true, though having them hub centric will still reduce the stress placed on the lug studs. Not necessarily required, but still a nice little bit of piece of mind.
