Happy Thanksgiving folks

Y'all too, I posted a new thread in STLCA tech about thanksgiving, don't know what I was thinkin, must have been the stuffing....

I may be in need of a small dozer to do a little grading in the Rockvale area. Probably will be over in the spring and it would be for pushing around gravel and general light grading.

Anyone have any experience with equipment? I think a skid steer would probably do what I am wanting for now, thoughts...

Thanks

Give this guy a call . He is very good with a bobcat and grading .

I had him widen my driveway and pour me concrete pad . He does good work , tell him Rocky gave you his number .

Do they sell that stuff? I bet I could get one cheap from a seizure. :hmm:

They do but people go crazy at auctions. Stuff often sells for more than it its worth.

Has anyone had any good or bad experience with Carolina Carports . I'm looking at maybe getting one of there 22x31 garages . I read a few reviews online but just wondering if anyone had anything to say .

Thanks

Not sure what they run, but I know a guy that would probably give you a quote on one out of wood and tin. I am probably going to have him build me a 30 x 40 or 30 x 50 pole barn this spring on our new place.

Speaking of, are you guys in chapel hill or just outside? I can't remember what you told me. Our new place is just to the east of Rockvale, so we may almost be neighbors.

I built my shop from a Carolina Carport almost 4 years ago. Mine is 20x35 with 8 foot sides instead of the standard 6 I think it is. I also only had them do the roof and sides I did the ends myself.
The only thing I point out is if you plan to finish the inside, insulation sheeting etc, there is nothing about these that is standard construction so it takes some thinking out side the box to get that stuff done. I do not have one myself but another thing I don't like is the roll up door they use, for just a shed or storage building I'm sure they are fine but if you want to seal it up I would look for a different door.
Over all I'm pleased with their part of the work, and think its a good alternative to frame construction.

We are in Chapel Hill .

I agree with the roll up doors , but on the other hand the doors are not taken up over head space . I was also thinking about spray in foam insulation . That will seal up all unwanted air gaps .

The spray in foam is the best way to go, not just in this type building but in any building in my opinion, the price just scared me off.
