You never know, your budget might be better next winter/summer.
It sure would be nice to have a full floating rear axle though already set up to bolt right into your soa cruiser no changes necessary.
Haha Well come this winter I should have a Dana 60 front axle and 14 Bolt rear! :D

You planning on doing a motor swap? That seems pretty stout for a 2F.

Dude I dont think the 2F would push that in Lo lock! haha I plan on a small block for it

Revised plan is to go ahead with with drivetrain and body swap, run it for the summer, while at the same time doing some power mods to the Cummins.
Once all mods are done and I have the rest of parts I need I'll pull the LC motor and the Cummins, assemble the new drivetrain, and drop it in.

That sounds pretty simple right?;)

That's exactly what I would do:D. If you need any tips, don't hesitate to shoot me a pm.

I'm sure you will be hearing from me in June when I do the body swap, thankfully though I will have access to overhead lifting devices.

I want to wake the Cummins up a bit, but by doing so I am concerned about the integrity of some of my drivetrain components.

First of all will the stock T-case hold up with around 300hp & 600Ft-lbs?
Or should I use a NP205?
And what about Longfields? If max tire size is 35-37" Will they be ok?

Nice. What drivetrain combo are you looking to run?

P.S. You sure you don't want to put a diesel in?
I would love a Diesel but its cheaper to build a 350, so I was gonna make a stout small block hooked up to a NV4500 tranny and dodge T case, down to the 14 bolt and dana 60 :D

Sorry about the lack of updates guys, been busy with work, and also some drama with the cummins.

It was supposed to be delivered on friday, guy didn't show.
I call him and he says it'll be here this weekend for sure.
Well I try to call him all day sat, no answer.
Sunday, call him all day, no answer.
Today, call him all day no answer.

I think the guy might have run off with the $300 I paid him to deliver it. :bang:
Maybe he'll answer my calls tomorrow.

Well time for some good news, I finally heard back from the guy with the Cummins.

It showed up today,:D

I need to get a battery, a voltage regulator and some gauges, then the tweaking begins.

Not yet, I want to be able to wheel over the summer.

The Cummins is going to need some work first anyway. After keeping it around and tweaking the power of it a bit, I 'm gonna tear it down to replace the HG and some other gaskets and get it painted up real nice like.
Then I'm gonna do a little work on the NP205, and the 14 Bolt rear.

But Don't worry everything is going according to plan now.:D

About the rear axle, I might keep the D70 as long as it turns out to have a normal gear ratio, not the crazy housing which holds the 3.07 R&P.

Ah man cant wait!

The dodge looks awesome man. I want one bad.

It looks even better now that I pulled the cap off it.
Also yesterday I made a trip to Napa and picked up a new external voltage regulator.
Starts and charges the battery like a champ now.

This is really one of the nicest engines I have dealt with.

Also I bought the aftermarket gauges I wanted to make sure the engine stays safe during the tweaking and subsequent rompings.

I decided to go with some Glowshift gauges: Pyro, Boost, and Water Temp

Also gonna pick up a 3200 RPM governor spring and a DennyT stage 2 fuel pin.
