Figured I’d help out the forum since I’ve learned so much from here.

Took a chance on an OEM ‘05-06 Camry steering wheel : 2005-2006 Toyota Camry Steering Wheel Charcoal Grey Leather New OEM 451000W180B2 | eBay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/281621102679 since it looked identical, despite different part numbers.
Fits perfectly. Color is off because I couldn’t find a brown leather one for over a month, but honestly the grey works better than I thought it was. Good option for others, especially for $90 brand new vs $300+ for any other options or $50+hours of labor for one of the sew-on covers.

@CruisingTheLand Looks great! I wonder if there’s a black version (I have an 04 with the gray/black interior).

I have always thought the Camry steering wheels looked like the 100 steering wheels but I never could verify if the splines were the same.

I just ordered a dark tan 2002 Camry wheel to try on my 99 with the oak interior. I will update this thread with my findings when it arrives.

I ordered the one linked above but cancelled it out of fear for it not fitting.

'04 Steering wheel on 2000? - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/04-steering-wheel-on-2000.571983/post-7451029

this thread has some good pics and info, looks like the clock spring interface wont link up with that ‘02 you got, and the early LC wheels aren’t compatible with newer LC/Camry/sienna/sequoia wheels.

quick search: Toyota Camry 1997-2001 Steering Wheel Shadow Grey Leather w/Dimples w/o Controls | Factory OEM Parts - https://www.factoryoemparts.com/toyota-camry-1997-2001-steering-wheel-shadow-grey-leather-with-dimples-without-c-4510206110b12788

looks like 97-01 might fit, who wants to roll the dice for $70?

I believe that’s a negative ghost rider.

From @twosmoker thread they posted a picture of their wheel from a 98 and the clock spring interface on the rear is a bit different.

2002 Land Cruiser steering wheel on the left and 2002 Camry steering wheel on the right. The primary differences I can see are the cruise control plug is different and the color on the Camry wheel is more gray. I hope to try and swap into my 1999 LC this weekend.

2002 Camry wheel is not leather, correct?

How's the offset between the two? Do they appear to have the same dimensions from the mounting point?

Also, is the overal diameter of the camry wheel smaller? Could just be the angle.

Offset. Both wheels look to have the same offset.

Wheel diameter. The Camry wheel is marginally shorter from the 12:00 to 6:00 position than the Land Cruiser wheel. I suspect the leather wrap on the Land Cruiser wheel accounts for that difference. Apparently the Camry is narrower than the Cruiser wheel at the 3:00 and 9:00 positions. Now that I think about it, I remember the slight wavy feel of the steering wheel in my wife's old 2002 Camry as it was released after making a turn.

Gear selector looks about the same. Thought about ripping the grey one off of my 02 Camry (about to junk it), too bad lc interior is brown.

Not to hijack the thread too much, but just wanted to mention, I have a wood/leather steering wheel and a wood shifter from 2002 that I wouldn't mind selling. Pm me for pics and price.

Anxious to know if it will work. I have an '01, and I'm totally down with doing this swap instead of keeping the original.

2002 Camry steering wheel is NOT a bolt in affair in a 1999 Cruiser.

The LC airbag isn't the same shape as the Camry air bag opening and the airbag mounting position is NOT the same.

While a Camry airbag would solve the fitment issue, the airbag wiring plugs are not the same. Perhaps swapping in a Camry clock spring would work?
