hfs

I have the hfs 4 inch with 1.5 shackles and bfg MTs 33 x 10.5

my experience was more with ride but I did notice a change in handling too

first--rear hard as rock, pitched forward in a bucking motion and very uncomfortable, skipping on bumps---took out two leaves went off road until springs sagged and put 1 leaf back in, bilsteins installed and slightly stiffer but felt good and the ride was much better and comfortable and handling more controlled with no skipping and bouncing (firm but not horrid)

added the 1.5+ shackle and got a little vaugeness on the road plus lost some of the return to center on the steering wheel after the shackle install

on local bumpy curvy roads 50 is comfortable and easy to drive and I feel under control---70 on smooth highway no problem handling wise
but also having a 1HDT 5 speed helps make that hway speed feel easy:)

I run my tires at between 32 and 35 psi on the highway, making sure all 4 have the same pressure

Got the 40 back from the alignment shop and the caster is about 2.75 degrees and tow is fine. David let some air out of the tires to 30psi and he said it drove great. Got it up to 65 mph and no sign of squirrely. Then he dropped it to 28psi and he said it drove even better. I tried to fine a formula to calculate the pressure but the final number was not correct, I did something wrong. BTW the tires I have are Terra grapplers 285/75r/16

Draw a wide chalk line across your tire, drive a block or so in a straight line, check the wear. Adjust tire pressure till you are happy with the contact patch. Per Peterson's Off Road a decade or so ago.
