The smittybuilt tire plug kit also fits into the space perfectly taking up about a third of the available room. Still plenty of space for tire gauge, 7 to 4-pin adapter, flashlight, valve stem caps, valve core tool, rags, gloves, etc etc etc.

OK, here’s my SQOD: What am I missing here? Isn’t this TSB for LX570? Will a Toyota dealer do this Lexus TSB? I’ve found a “strict” no crossover policy between the Lexus and Toyota dealers here.

can someone confirm that T-SB-0134-16 - which was updated to Rev2 in 2019 to apply to all LCs up to 2020
I’ll answer my own SQOD for posterity. Getting some maintenance done today at Fred Haas Toyota World. Asked the advisor to specifically check T-SB-0134-16. I was informed that the service tech checked their system and this is “no longer available” and further that there are no current T-SBs covering the ECU or ECT for my 2018. YMMV.

Hey folks,

My stupid question for the day. Did the 2020 come with two tool boxes in the tailgate? I purchased my truck used, im the 3rd owner and 54k miles. More generally seems the last two owners were retired folks who took care of the truck nicely.

There is only one toolbox in my LC on the right side, which looks to include the bottle jack lifts and some wrenches, etc. (in great condition btw!)The left side is missing any components, is this how the truck arrived from factory? Or did a previous owner remove tools that I should replace?

If not, does anyone sell a container or 3d printed parts to customize this empty space? If not, I'll probably design and 3d print my own tool box, first aid kit, etc.

the Tesla first aid kid, available through the website, fits perfectly well in there. Happened upon that from some other member here.

About a dozen bungee cords, some kayak straps, and other miscellaneous tie downs fit in the space quite nicely. Ask me how I know.

One of Tim’s Gamiviti bags suddenly seems like a smart purchase for me

Has anyone had any issues with the black exterior plastic trim thing on the door getting discolored over time? Mine looks okay most of the time, but under certain lighting it almost looks like it’s covered in stains of some sort. I’m thinking about trying something like a plastic restoring compound.

Thanks. I just looked up Gtechniq C4 Trim Restorer and it looks like it gets good reviews. That said, I'm feeling a little impatient, so I might try Cerakote wipes since I can pick those up from Home Depot this afternoon and try them right away.

That’s the one! I can’t speak to cerakote car stuff, but can say I’ve used gtechniq with good results. It’s worth the wait imo.

When I drive my 2010 LX in manual shift mode I notice that there is a significant amount of stiffness or stiction to move the shift lever between gears. Is this normal or is my lever gummed up with something?

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Reset Switch - Toyota (84746-AE010)

Does anyone know if this part that Toyota lists at compatible with 2013 was actually installed on US vehicles?

I was going through online parts and came across a part that I didn't realize existed and am not 100% sure it's functionality or even if it on my 2013.

21 in the diagram below...

Would love to think this might reset the tire pressure into a particular order on the display after a rotation.

Can anyone set me straight on this?

Thanks

You mean this button?

Should already have one. It can be difficult to find (ignore the little external speaker on the left, that's for my 2M radio)

Yep. I had no idea that was there.

I'm assuming it is just for the system to re-learn the correct pressures for warning /low pressure lights. It would be nice to know which pressure reading is for which tire so I got excited that the reset possibly reordered the sensors to a default order. Glad there is a SQOTD thread where we can air out our dumb thoughts for all to see.

Thank you!
