I have cameras around my place and in my garage. they would be sufficient to confirm that someone of average height and average build wearing a hoodie broke into my garage

Good to know for the next time I have coolant to get rid of...

For those of you thinking of dumping coolant into toilet, it is better to pour it into sand/or other porous stuff like cat litter etc so it disintegrates slowly rather than getting into our waterways as a bulk. You can take bucket of sand, throw coolant into it, bag it and put it in regular trash as a last resort than to dump into toilet.

I've just been using the popular mechanics pictures from the 60's that said to dump oil/coolant/everything else into a shallow grave in my backyard...

I can still remember watching my dad pour used motor oil down along the edge of the garage wall, "keeps the termites away" he used to say.

He wasn’t wrong.

Now that it’s been established that this is a safe space…..
What are the most probable reasons the form by the engine is torn as seen below?

Rodent teeth marks.
Yep, pretty clear rodent chew patterns there.

Decent odds some of that missing foam is under the intake manifold.

Coolant valley leak repair?
When the solenoids are out of the way the whole foam block lifts right out, and that is necessary to get to the intake manifold bolts. There would be no reason to tear it.

So this gets me nervous. No electric issue so far and I have replaced all the factory skids (with slee skids) nothing suspicions down there.

I do have (small) rock rolling against plastic kinda sound on the right side when the truck starts rolling (from home or at traffic stops), I always thought I had something on the front passenger door storage but hell it’s empty. What are places you would suggest to search for?

If you aren’t getting codes for a chewed knock sensor harness, nor seeing rodent evidence on the cabin filter, I wouldn’t worry about it.

If you really must dig deeper you can inspect under the intake manifold but that generally requires destroying the foam block in the front..

So yes, without smells or droppings or other evidence I’d just let it ride. Maybe consider replacing the foam so you forget about it? 12601-38020

Took off the grille to plan a winch install, found this: broken driver side headlight “mount”

Any DIY type fixes? Or am I looking at a new light housing?

The horizontal brace that connects the driver and passenger light housings at the bottom was removed prior to me purchasing the vehicle. Same with the center bracket that supports that horizontal piece.

If it’s just plastic and you don’t want to pay for a new part now, consider JB weld. I’ve had good results, but patience and prep is key. And use a lot of it supports a fair bit of weight.

It's not the girl you’d want to take to prom, but she might make it work in the end.

EDIT: if it was me and you had the time, I’d do
JB weld now regardless, see how it held up and plan on buying a replacement whenever the next parts sale was. But that’s me.
