Yeah it's the same part but I've no idea (a) if the sensor data is sent via CANbus on earlier trucks, if (b) the ECU supports that pid, and (c) if I can mix-and-match 2013 and ~2018 PIDs in one dashboard in OBD Fusion even if it is supported (and just not part of the 2013 pack).
I agree, just saying if the sensor is in the case, it is present in a 2013.

It would seem odd to me that they include the sensor with no ability to pull the data from it.. I'll get techstream going today and see whether that live data displays the case temp.

Techstream didn't show anything useful. I actually couldn't even find the readout for the 4lo or CDL status switches, which I expected to see.

Don't have much time to do a deeper dive and see whether it's in some module other than ECM/TCM, but none of the others in the listing made sense. I did look at the BCM but no dice.

Isn’t there a 4wd Control ECU? Maybe there is no techstream module for it, or it’s called something weird.

There is definitely a 4wd control ECU, and it's on the canbus so able to communicate directly with the rest of the vehicle modules.

The wiring diagram also clearly shows a temperature sensor within the 4lo actuator. To me this suggests it's not a very good measure of transfer case mechanical conditions anyway.

Ah that would make sense, I believe the voltage to the actuator is increased when the temp is below ~50F

2018 here. I didn't see any specific temp reading for TC in Techstream.
It does have 4wd Control ECU but no data.
(Did a Transmission Flush last weekend and forgot to reset ATF thermal degradation estimate, so did it while in there)

I do have OBD Fusion for 2018 with packs. Can look at that later.

Here is the TC temp in Techstream and the PID is also in Fusion (purchased the advanced diagnostic add-on)

Any 200/lx owners in the saltier areas of the world had luck with por15? Most search threads take me to 80-100 series, and after my AHC line blow out I’m thinking I need to give the underside of the truck a bit more attention with new parts and coatings.

Truck lives on East coast, mid Atlantic. I use it to touch up scrapes on my sliders and BBS wheels and rear bumper. That stuff is tough. Definitely wear gloves, it's hard to get off your skin.

I’ve had mixed luck with adherence. If you’re painting on rust it seems to stick, but if you paint over existing clean paint or aluminum or something it seems to peel after maybe 2 years unless you do a LOT of prep. I painted over my front bumper which had powder coat rusting in some spots and it looked great for 2 years but then the POR came off in sheets and flakes. Note i didn’t sand or prime or anything, just washed and painted over.

I know this is not a question, but I was today years old when I learned what partsouq (partsouq.com) is. It's really Part Souq. "Souq" being a Middle-Eastern term for market or marketplace!

I buy from them all the time and was always calling it Parts Ouq. Now it makes perfect sense.

While replacing my driver side rear brakes today, the little rubber plug below fell from somewhere when I pulled the rotor off the studs. Anyone recognize what this is, or know where it might have come from? The head is about 16mm wide.

Adjustment hole on rotor to access parking brake shoes

Hi,
does anyone know the total height of a lx570 with a rooftop cargo box (~18 in). I'm thinking of getting one, but concerned about parking garages in road trips. Any experiences? Would appreciate your insights.
Also thinking about hitch mounted cargo carrier, how has your experiences been with that?
Have a 2016 lx570 stock height.

Regards

Forgot to mention I have OEM crossbars on a 2016 flush mounted rooftop rail
You can easily measure the height of your LX and add the height of whatever box you choose. That said, I know there are no parking garages I’ve been in with my LC that have a foot and a half extra clearance for a box like you’re thinking of. Further, parking garages are not good places to have a hitch mounted cargo carrier sticking way out the rear. So, if you do either on a road trip you’re probably looking at parking in the motels surface lot and you’d likely want to plan your trip accordingly.

I have to imagine 18" on top of an LX is going to be a challenge in any public parking garage environment. Some you can probably queeze through by putting it in AHC low, but without knowing what situation you'll find yourself in, seems the hitch hauler is the way to go.

Agree, I'm worried about my stock 200 on 33's in parking garages.

You'll never fit inside a parking garage with a rooftop box.
