Does it also occur when just sitting in the driveway at those rpms? I don’t have an LX, but I think it’s not typical to have a harmonic vibration you can feel. 32k miles is too early for a tensioner bearing to be wonky and if it’s rpm related it wouldn’t be driveline. Hmmmm…..First Post in the SQOD
I have a "new to me" 2018 LX570 with low miles. Currently at about 32K and the truck is smooth and quiet at almost every rpm. My stupid question is do other experience a subtle harmonic/vibration around 1800-1900rpm regardless of gear?
It's a very minor buzz that comes through the steering wheel that I can feel but not obtrusive. Is this NORMAL or should I dive down the rabbit hole looking for something out of balance?

There was a tsb on this that the harmonic damper on the t case is supposed to alleviate. I don’t believe 18 is affected though. Wouldn’t hurt to check that is on and torqued down properly.
Good info. It's not intrusive, I just thought a vehicle of this cost/caliber wouldn't have something like this. It's subtle, but it's there. But I came from a Tundra that was a lot more vibey, loud and bouncy so this is a minor deal as long as it's not something the is falling apart or breaking.

Yeah, I am sure I’m in for a lot of surprises. However, I’ve had two tundras and loved them both and thought the drivetrain was excellent. I’m excited to have the LX in my garage now. And with it, I’m sure it will come to some new surprises, particularly the AHC suspension.

I was talking to @bloc about this recently and he had a decent albeit somewhat sobering point…
The LC is kind of best in a spartan config. If you look at the 200 range, it goes from barebones to LX, and it starts to make less and less sense as you continue up the trim ladder.
Its spread over wayyyy to broad of a spectrum to be purpose built for all the fitouts. It tends to make more sense in poverty pack to me these days personally, even though I would never drive one!
Also dont worry about AHC. Just keep up the fluid, thats it,
Meh. That's an argument for a Heep. When it all works as well as it does in the LX, with meaningful more capability while holding steadfast reliability, I'll take mine fully loaded.

I actually am one of those fan boys who wanted to Land Cruiser really badly. But I was able to pick up a very low mileage LX for approximately $7000 less depending on options in miles in the local market.
I opted for an LX, and frankly, I love it. I Don’t know that I would choose an LC now, after only four months of ownership of the LX. My 80+ year-old mother loves that I can lower the truck to help her get in. Minor detail, but a very, very important one.

I've been hearing a ticking sound when turning the steering wheel ever since I got the truck a year and a half ago. It's coming from the interior steering column. Is it certainly the clock spring? I was under the impression that a failing clock spring would have other symptoms, such as steering wheel buttons not working. I want to be sure before I order parts and tear into it.
I get some minor vibration feel when accelerating at certain gear. It went away when I did a front differential fluid change and it came back a bit after 20k miles since the fluid change but not as bad as it was before the fluid change.
Okay, my next stupid question of the day: my 2016 head unit insists on reverting back to the navigation screen every time the truck is started. I read a few older threads that seem to suggest there is no solution. Wondering if any fixes have come up in the last few years? Something like maybe a software update or disabling the navigation function?? Also out of curiosity is it only 2016 that has the issue?
