I ordered one from an online Toyota dealer a few weeks ago. No Problemo.

Allright, stooopid question of today is:

When installing a lift or front OEM spacers, and when not replacing the UCAs. is it a good idea to loosen the UCA bolt and then retighten it once the lift is done and the truck is back on the ground?

My intuition tells me probably yes.

Yes. It would be good practice to reset the clocking of the bushings such that they are not pre-loaded at rest. This should help with ride quality and long term durability of the bushings.

Also, a zero point cal of the stability control system should be done.

So I just registered my rig in Ohio (from Texas) and now it's a rear plate only state, any recommendations for cool front plates to run on my rig? I'm 99% sure the front bumped is going to look hideous underneath where the old plate was!!

Can I put a lift on a lx570 that isn’t A swnsor lift?

yes, but why??

Here's what your future looks like:

lol Because I can do the lift easier then I can do the sensor lift. I’m not confident at reprogramming the computer.

Come to Houston. Or we can walk you through each step

I might take you up on that radman. The one shop that could do it was in Houston anyway.

Which shop? I didn't know anyone around here that touched ahc...

Does anyone know of front recovery points available to suit a 2017 LX570? Spoke with ARB and they don't make any and believe the LC200's won't fit as the front bar sits lower on the LX.

Or what spec/is require to get someone to just fab some up for me (got a few mates who are boiler makes).

i think theres a thread around here somewhere with a fella selling the tundra ones that are substantially beefier

Thanks will get in touch with my local stockist and see if they have any on hand so I can drive out and do a quick test fit up and see how low they hang and if it'll mean the front bar stays on when we go for a recovery.

Ah you’re in Aus even easier. They are perpetually out of stock in Us.

My stupid question of the day.

I just got a 2013 LC and it needs tires. The ones on them now are road tires, and am looking to replace them with all terrains. So...do I buy 4, or 5 and have the 5th one mounted on the spare rim?

Thanks!!
Jay

Whatever your budget allows. Having all 5 of the same size and type allows you to do 5 tire rotations and increase the time before you need to replace them. It's also good if you have a flat you don't have to worry about how it's going to affect the truck rather than if the spare is an oddball.

Yes- thanks. The potential concern I have is getting a flat. Differentials (and maybe transfer cases) don't like uneven tire diameters, so wondering if having a stock spare mounted with 3 all terrains can quickly cause damage. Assuming that's probably not the case, but just not sure.

Yeah, I don't know at which point damage will be done, so best to just run all 5 the same.
