LX here: l never use the easy exit feature of AHC for fear that overusing the system will lead to earlier component failure. Am I nuts? Or am I better off using the system often to keep it in good shape?

I wouldn’t sweat this. Without you noticing, your AHC adjusts dampening hundreds of times every time you drive it. In the grand scheme of things, comfort access does not add additional stress.

keep your fluid changed and enjoy a long life easy egress.

I use it all the time and love it.

Personally, I always find it funny when folks buy vehicles with certain features, but don't use those features for fear of wearing them out. It's tantamount to buying a large house and only using one bedroom for fear of wear & tear on the other ones. If you paid for it, why not get your money's worth and enjoy the feature? Not criticizing, just an observation.

And likes others have said, AHC adjusts all the time as you drive, so a little more use is negligible in the big picture.
 
If it makes you feel any better, there's no real impact to the suspension globes by lowering. The system takes fluid volume out of the lines to kneel. If anything, there's less wear on the globes as more weight gets put on the coil springs. The high pressure pump may do a bit more work to put fluid volume back into the lines when going back to normal. But as others have said, that's likely insignificant as the system is working regularly in operation.

What's awesome about the kneeling is as our LX's get built with larger tires and larger lifts, the roof starts getting pretty close to standard garage clearance heights. Those few inches make all the difference sometimes.

Bull Bar/ Brush Guard Question
Does anyone make a Bull Bar or Brushguard for the LC 200 that is not full replacement? Or is there no such thing as a little pregnant.

I'm not aware of a partial "hybrid" type bumper for the 200-series. Is the concern aesthetics or weight? If weight, I'd look into Dissent products. They build full replacement bumpers that use lots of aluminum, resulting in minimal weight gains.

Look into @radman thread here for measured weights. Should be pretty similar between the LC and LX.

More I was looking for something that I did not have to "cut" the factory bumper than weight.

Here’s my stupid question- My local Toyota dealer said they tint the windows of new vehicles before delivery to customer. Would you trust a dealer to tint windows on a brand new LC? Do they have to take anything apart to tint the windows?
 
Don't have to take anything apart. But they usually use cheap tint, not the heat rejecting type (notably the ceramics). In my case, they didn't tell me they were going to do it. But since the rear of the LC already has a medium tint, they just tinted the driver's & passenger's side front windows.

Might try asking them to upgrade the tint to a heat rejecting film like the ceramics. Also make sure to get a warranty on the tint that describes what was installed in case you ever have to have a window replaced.

Here's more of my stupid questions- can you apply Woolwax undercoating with a brush? I'm very nervous about overspray on heated parts because all these undercoatings come with flammable warnings. I don't want my LC to burst into flames underneath.

Also, would something like Woolwax make the undercarriage slippery, to the point it could be dangerous putting it on a lift?

Wool Wax is not flammable (per SDS linked here).
It's generally easy to avoid the exhaust when spraying, but if you get some on the exhaust it will cook off, making some mild smoke and odor for a little while.

It can definitely make things slippery, but if friction is what is holding a vehicle on a lift, something is wrong to begin with.

As you’re shopping, keep in mind that “brush guards” and “bull bars” are not the same thing. Brush guards exist that are basically ONLY up to the task of helping avoid heavy brush from digging into your grill......

...Bull/Roo Bars (excluding blingy faux bars) are designed to protect against animal strikes.

If you really just want a brush guard, you can add those to your existing setup,l...but you’ll not find many fans of them here as they aren’t really much of an upgrade.
