I have the same thing on mine:

No idea what it is/was for, but it came that way from the factory, so no need to worry.

Odd... I have nothing like that on my '15 LC.

I would be picking up a can of Battery Terminal Protector, it's a spray that puts a protective coating on your battery terminals. I use it on all my vehicles. The terminal clamps on our '04 Highlander still look brandy new.

Do y'all have a preferred brand/model of battery terminal covers? My 2008 doesn't have any.

Once you attach a lot of electrical stuff...pre-made covers never fit...

I made a terminal cover out of radiator tubing...zip tied it over the positive.
Works fine for the basic avoidance of wrenches creating sparks if touching pos and grounded metal...

Don’t need to cover the negative if positive is covered.

Notch the OE covers with a pair of side cutters and zip tie them down.

Toyota offers so few OEM accessories in the US compared to Australia. Has anyone found where you can easily purchase the OEM Weather Shields. I am not big on the Weathertech ones that sit inside the window channel and put stress on the motor. I don't like the 3rd party options that don't look right.

Maybe post a link to the exact units you are after...

I searched and can't find it.

Prepping to do the first full detail on my '15. Can I remove just the crossbars from the factory rack? They are really in the way, and I seriously doubt I will ever use them in the near future. I have all the knobs out, they slide back and forth, but I can't get them out. Afraid to start prying on covers and such, don't want to break or bend anything.

The rear trim will pop right off then you can loosen the cross bars and slide them right out.

part number for the OEM floor mat anchors? 2 of mine are currently broken.

Local Dealer claims these only come with new floor mats as part of the package and not sold separately.

I looked at the schematic on his screen and sure enough there wasn't any part # listed.

Can anyone help?

Weathertec floormats ship with identical mat anchors. Maybe contact them and ask if you can order replacements. Better yet...or a set of their mats! :) They are fantastic! :)

What year is your truck? I have a bunch of the older style, unused. Happy to send you some if they fit.

Cool-Box Q:

I've searched and searched...but I can't find what I thought was a thread about swapping out the fan for the cool-box!!

Anyone have a link? Or is my memory imaging this entirely???

I think it's there because it's where I learned which fan to order...but I can't find the write up that I thought was a walk-through...

Anyone?
