Whoa. Very nice. Thank you!! As you can tell, I'm doing this real-time.

Turns out I didn't need to pop out the cup holder, as your directions show. Just give the panel a yank. However, I also had to remove the upper section to get to that top bolt on the subwoofer cabinet. GEEZ that is a complicated piece of plastic!

Will post some photos later. Got the fuel door rivets drilled out, old door off, touch-up paint is drying now. Going back to start putting things back together while I wait for the paint to dry.

I can’t seem to get my messages to connect to the LC with my new iphoneX. Anyone know how to sync it? Everything else works.

What’s the best way to remove the stock crossbars in the roof rack? Apparently, removing the plastic tightening knobs isn’t enough.

Been awhile since I removed mine, but if you remove the plastic covers for the “towers” at the back of the rack rails, then the crossbars can slide straight back and out of the channel. On the plastic covers I seem to remember that you just need a really good grip and pull straight up. Hope my description makes sense, barely had my first cup of coffee this morning......

Yes

Yes, I’ve searched. But...

Anyone have their volume knob on the main console go squirly? For example, when jamming to tunes, and a call comes in and I want to turn the radio down in a hurry, the volume actually goes UP? Similarly when leaving the car with volume high, re-entering, and need to turn down quickly.

Seems to only happen on rapid changes to volume both up and down.

Using the steering wheel controls has no symptoms, i.e. volume changes are as expected, but volume change isn’t as fast as I’d like it to be.

Probably isn’t a cure but wondered if I was the only one?

Probably the knob needs cleaning, as mentioned above. If the rheostat is shot and out of warranty, there are repair shops that can fix it for a helluva lot less than replacing the head unit, especially if you remove it yourself.

Could also be time for a software update to the Multi-Function Display, though that might not be causing your problem. In settings there is an option to do that which requires you to download the update to a USB thumbdrive, plug it into the console and follow the prompts. Might be a different procedure in your model year.

You'd hope the dealer would do it whenever you bring it in for service, but they might have overlooked it or maybe your truck hasn't been there in a while.

You should be able to tell from either the on-line service records by VIN or by checking to see if you have the latest update. The software build number should be available through settings and is not the same as the map version.

What is that thing? Does it work with all filter types or just kn?

Are you determining it's time to change the filter based on appearance or on measured restriction?

Do you have one of these installed?

A filter can look pretty dirty, but still not restrict air flow.

It's called a filter minder and works with all air filters. Manufactured by Donaldson, there is info on their site: http://filterminder.com/products/vi...r-filter-restriction-gauge-grommet-mount.html

For the LC200 with 5.7L petrol engine, the 10" H2O model which happens to be marketed by K&N is the most useful: K&N Filter Minders 85-2445

Similar models are available which go tyo 25" H2O, but I found that model rarely, if ever, indicated any obstruction.

Ever have the windshield replaced? Sounds like water is/was in a harness somewhere.

Am I the only person that bumps the seat memory buttons on the door with the sleeve of my jacket?

Move to Arizona, we don't have jackets...:rimshot:

You are a huge man if your jacket is hitting those while driving! I'm 6'/200 and don't even come close when I'm driving. Or does it happen on entry/exit?
