wow, i have received an update via text stating we have a blown HG on one rig and a fire on another!! Not a good start fellas!!

Greg's HG on the 80 went. I am sure we will get the details.

Anybody need anything from Raleigh. I am leaving about 12:30 tomorrow and could pick up parts if they are available. Just let me know.

everyone is OK. I will let the parties in question post up when they can with the skinny.

Another awesome STR, Brian and Heather and the Extended Crew did a superb job again this year! Thank you for setting this up!

Seems that in spite of the few issues on the way out, everyone managed to enjoy themselves and there was no irreparable damage - Jason's 45 made it out there and even posed for some photos. ;)

Now, to start drying everything out.............

Home safe, despite the events it was an incredible weekend and sad to know it's already over. I will have a mileage report later, she ran out of diesel on the way back.....so I should have a pretty accurate MPG.

Also, I now know why they didn't drive long distances in 1969....

we had a great time, and would like to thank all the crew who put this togeather!!! you can not beat good food and good friends.

As we were coming back through the robinsville area, and the cruiser came out of overdrive and never went back (was crusing about 65) . I stopped and got gas and gave it a once over, everthing was good, the only thing i noticed was that the wind was howling. I got back on the road and hit OD for about 20 seconds once i got up to speed. then dropped back out. If i slowed down to about 50 it would go back into OD. Finally after about 20 minutes and a change in direction every thing was good again. I figured that OD issue was due to head wind, and additional drag from the pop-up, it was interesting though.

What a great event! These folks know how to take care of everything. Julie and I had a wonderful time and wish to thank all those involved for setting up what has to be one the best events out there. We've already marked our calendars for next year.

made it home safe and sound with no overheating...will look into the fan clutch soon. Thanks to everyone that helped in planning this event esp. brian and heather. I had a great time and enjoyed meeting lots of new people and putting faces with screen names etc.

WONDERFUL trip again this year!!!!

Great thanks to those who contributed and our sponsors (there were some really good raffle items).

Hope everybody's trip home was uneventful. We made it back in plenty of time for Jay to catch his flight. Spent a couple hours airing out the tents and unpacking. Kinda depressing, because it was a reminder that the event was over. It was great seeing some of the same folks from last year, and meeting some new ones! I had a great time, as usual. As others have said, thanks a TON to Brian and Heather for putting everything together. They did another excellent job again this year. Can't wait to see everybody again next time!

I passed the 45 pictured a few posts back along with a 40 and an FJ Cruiser on 64E near Rocky Mount yesterday. Figured it had to be a club, but didn't know of any in the area. I live near Baltimore, but was visiting my mom and brothers who live in the Greenville/Washington, NC area. Just wanted to say Hi; I was driving the banged-up gold 62. Great pics! Looks like a fun weekend :). Cheers!
Matt
