OK, whose is this 200?

(spotted on Fort Belvoir)

20K OBO ask for a 200 suggests one should take a closer look at a few things. It's also the only car on the lot with "as is" in the sale listing.

I knew I had seen this ad somewhere.

PS- Just parked next to a 200 series LC in NW DC, when I got out I told the guy "nice truck" asked what year. He said 2018, and then commented that it looked like mine had the "off road package". "Ummm... Yes, it has 'the off road package'." Thought that was pretty funny. And with that I'm off. Y'all enjoy the Super Bowl today. 🍻

I notice a distinct lack of mention of the 200. Lol.
I like your 200 too but I really don’t know a lot about the 200’s so I just reserve comments.

Thanks- no problem man. I just like getting my panties in a bunch. It's a core hobby. And the 200 is definitely not as pretty as the other Cruisers. Bit of an ugly duckling and not as iconic (at least in the U.S.), but they're extremely capable - Ive heard they have the best articulation of all Cruisers - and they’re overbuilt with a fantastic motor. Just maybe the best Cruiser of all time.

@1MOA made some edits above to be more fair to Mr. T. Check out this video too

Was out exploring in the 200 with my wife and talked her into getting a few brews. BTW - That place is making a killing.
That place has a money printer in the back!
But It should be making money hand over fists! It’s a really nice place. I when to a brewery in Warrenton and started a fire like Bear Chase and they wanted to charge me $75! I really wanted to piss on it to put it out.

Good catch. I did not see it on the lot when I drove past today.

I'll leave this one that my folks sent. Small town dealer showroom in Ohio:

Here’s a funky 100 I spotted in Osaka in December. “California” style according to the decal on the back and a Cali plate in the front window. Gave me a chuckle for a JDM truck in Japan going California- and on a cruiser no less! Nice blue though.

Anyone have an idea of what roof cross bars those are? If I ever get around to putting my roof rails on i'd like to snag something like that, but whenever I plus 99 100 series into Yakima/Thule websites, it says there isn't anyhting that fits

Beefy LX heading west on 7 out of Leesburg today.

I know people on mud love to hate on land rover, but I think they are the best looking ones out there. Love my cruiser and all but the styling of the l322 full size is second to none

Flame away

I had a family member that worked in theoil industry and was assigned to Libya. In 1993 he was assigned a new Land Rover defender he picked it up in Tripoli where it was delivered from the Land Rover dealership from Cypress he drove it out to a area in the northern Sahara where with just over 1000 km on it the oil pump separated itself inside the engine and left him and another engineer stranded they walked at night using land navigation with a map a Compass and the stars and walked almost 65 km to where they could get a phone they were picked up the day after next by someone in the company they went back two weeks later to pick up the vehicle and no one had touched it
He said even the sand people( his words not mine) would not touch it.
His head of operations in North Africa wrote a scathing letter to Land Rover about the incident and they responded back saying they were sorry and sent them a umbrella.

They are amazing off road in stock form as well...when they're not broken. I had to spend a lot to get as much flex as my friends 2011 supercharged and that thing was also absurdly fast and handled amazingly well on the road. The offroad modes are also something else. He made it through things that he probably shouldn't have with almost bald street tires

It is interesting- they are hit or miss. I know a couple, the wife has an LR4 and the husband has a NA jag l322. He has nothing but good things to say about them and shes driven the LR4 for at least the past 9 years with no problems.
But other people have issues after 50k. It's interesting

I know two families who drive nothing but Land Rover products. One has an older 2008 or so Range Rover, a 2017 Supercharged LWB, and a 2013 LR4 - no issues at all. The other family had a 2012 Range Rover (sold recently), a 2016 LR4 (sold recently), and still have a 2016 Range Rover - also with zero issues. Then you go to a forum online and there's people having issues left and right. It is very strange how some vehicles are perfect and others are absolute trash.

My friend seriously loved his but the timing chain guides started to go and he had them replaced under warranty at the dealer, which took almost 5 months and he had to get 4 different loaners because the tags timed out. Afterword it had a bunch of small issues and the dealer ended up replacing all of the coil packs and injectors as well but it was never quite right. He got tired of dealing with it and ended up selling it to some British guy with a made up sounding name who worked for the British intelligence acquisitions department or something like that. Just typical old European car things
