Spindle For Disc Brake Axle? (1 Viewer)

I was rebuilding my 1978 fj40 front axle and determined that my drivers side axle spindle threads were stripped. I believe that all fj40 with disc brake axles will fit; but what about a spindle from a fj60? I know where there's a fj60 axle complete and it may be nice to have the extra parts. MOOSE

Yes the 60 series spindle will work just fine.

Is there any advantage to the fj60 axle's besides the added width?

disadvantage would be you have to redo alot of stuff.

stick with your 40s want the width get spacers or offset wheels
