Here are the pics! The first 3 are the captive nuts I found hidden behind my headliner in my HDJ81. I simply pressed my finger against the headliner, felt for the holes, and then used an exacto knife to slice a small vertical slit across the holes. Then threaded the bolts in to be sure they fit - which they did, perfectly.

I should also mention that I had a quick panic attack when I noticed the non USA "cargo bars" across the rear windows... but luckily, it fit perfectly with no modifications. The lower nut of the bracket fit JUST below the bars.

PS - that's not rust in the last picture, that's my collection of autumn leaves and needles :hillbilly:

Corbet,

Got mine today!!!!! From FEDEX knocking on the door to hanging in the truck took 20 minutes. The first ten of which were getting through all of the protective packaging you put it in. Awesome product!!!!.....Awesome service!!!! Can't wait 'til you make your window cages.

Subscribed!! All the other designs reach to the floor and thought it was unnecessary, this is perfect. Will definitely be purchasing soon.

Have you thought about adding some type of basket to hang on the net for extra storage? Or maybe cut the top 1/3, to add a box where the opening faces the cruiser's front? Just a thought, peace.

80 series rack

how much are you charging for a 80 series 1/3 rack very interested great looking rack;p

The spring back log is beginning. With a hand full of orders this week and truck prep for Cruise Moab my garage time is booking up.

If you'd like to take delivery of a barrier at or before Cruise Moab 2011 please submit your order soon. I will do my best to fill all orders as quickly as possible.

I still intend to have the final version of the 100 series unit complete by CM11 but 80 series barrier builds could cut into that soon.

Edit 3/14/11. I believe I have found a local source to build the 100 series brackets out of house at a price that I can live with. Now to get them final dimensions at get a test bracket built.

Did some garage/shop cleaning this weekend. Got two barriers to sell at a discount.

$275 shipped to lower 48.($25 savings) My original prototype. It is correct in all aspects with the exception of an additional set of holes drilled into the sides of the barrier. I changed the mounting points and bracket dimensions for the final product. You can see the extra holes in the first pic below.

SOLD $225 shipped to lower 48.($75 savings) Lets call it a "Factory 2nd" I must have loaded the steel into the bender a little off. One side of the barrier is 1/4" taller than the other. I had this one powder coated in a black hammer tone to see what it would look like. 2nd pic. Hammer tone on top. Standard coating below. SOLD

PM or email me for additional details.

CORBET, just thought of something: What about getting the barrier set back a little bit to accommodate for the second row recliners? Even though I'm back in the states sans one usable arm, I'd still like to install my reclining second row mods but would like it to work with this barrier. I don't have any measurements yet on what the difference is going to be when reclined. :(

When you want to order one let me know how much you want yours set back and I'll do a set of custom brackets. That's pretty easy.

Excellent! I have a camping trip, gimp style, being planned and I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row.

NM, just found a photo that shows the seats going back almost 10". Thats just too far into the cargo area for a feature that will rarely get used, Standard it is.

I've been forced to change suppliers for my welded wire. Not a big deal. New wire is ever so slightly tighter in pattern. Still considered 2x4" But the wire lines up a little different on the barrier. Anyway pic attached.

Corbet, I have an idea for you...

I'll PM you my info if you don't have it anymore...

Just installed my cargo barrier in my 80 from Speski OffRoad. Install is easy. Appears to be a very stout product. Well designed at a fair price. Thanks Corbet.

I just did a grey barrier to match a customers grey interior. I included a grey door handle cup in the photo as reference to the OEM grey color. You may also notice I shifted the welded wire a little on the main frame hoop. This is the pattern I've been duplicating now for the last few weeks and what they will look like moving forward.

COLOR NO LONGER AVAILABLE, will update if anything changes again.
