Mounting the unit requires removing the two 3rd row grab handles. Intallation takes approx. 15 minutes. It can be removed without any evidence of it ever being installed.
Hey Corbet, do you have any solution like this for a HDJ81? (that has no 3rd row seat, therefore no rear grab handles)
Andrew
I'm willing to bet the captured nuts are there if its not a high roof line model. I'd try trying to peak behind your headline and get back to me.
If your that worried about it send me your HDJ81 and I will send you a FZJ80 with a barrier installed no charge.
All kidding aside I don't know how to drop the headliner, never have personally. Check your FSM if have one. I imagine you don't have the speakers up there in the headline like we do either? If you do, you might be able to pull the grills and peak in that way?

A bit off topic, but do you have an extra thing (I think a light???) near the back in the center of the ceiling? Its shaped the same as the main light, but mine is simply a blockoff plate. I don't mean the smaller one at the VERY back right above the hatch.
Does your rig have a compass up front? If so, it's the magnetic sensor for it.
Thanks!!!Pricing as of 1/22/11
$275 for the 80 series barrier, $300 shipped to anywhere in lower 48. + sales tax if you live in Colorado.
Take delivery at Cruise Moab this year to save yourself shipping. Get your orders in soon to allow fab time.
Thanks.
Sounds excellent CorbetI am checking for my nuts today and will let you know. Are you able to ship to me? I'm in BC (just above Washington)
Andrew
I can ship the barrier to Canada. Probably end up around $75-ish to sip to Canada. So $350-ish total.
I have the captive nut holes for the 3rd row grab handles even though I don't have the handles. WOOT! I don't own any of the Mountain Smith Cubes personally. Easiest solution I see it to place your water can forward and carry the cubes in the rear. Then I know you'd be fine.
By barrier overlaps the Hanna Carrier if that makes sense due to the rearward lean of the middle row seats.
You have a PM
Thanks again.
