Christmas in March!!New suspension and other goodies from total chaos started showing up. King 3.0 internal bypass coilovers with 700lb springs fro the front and 3.0 bypass shocks for the rear. Total chaos customer service has been outstanding answering questions about adapting this stuff to the gx460 since king hasn’t officially realeased the 3.0 setup for the 460s yet. I had their +2” expedition long travel in the cart and ready to order, but a good friend that will be installing the fronts admitted that even though he loves his long traveled 4Runner, he would’ve went with this setup if it was available when he did his.

Found a warn evo 10 winch locally and will probably pick it up tomorrow or next week if I find time.
I may still do it in the future when it’s not a daily driver, but having my buddy that races down in Baja and builds and owns LT stuff tell me that he would’ve gone this route sealed the deal for me. Plus l, while this setup wasn’t much less the money saved will help me get the build further along.
He was talking about the maintenance and drivability of it as a daily driver along with all the extra stuff you have to do with going to long travel. Nicole at total chaos also stated that if I was on the fence about doing this setup or the long travel that I should go this route. She said that their gx460 with this setup is amazing and will do everything I need it to. She said the coilover springs being wider in diameter really helps with the ride quality offroad. She said it’s basically a race truck without a cage. I guess we’ll find out next week how true that is.Did he elaborate on why he would have?
Yeah I’m sure she embellished it some. I did like the fact that when I told her I was ready to buy either setup she actually told me I’d probably be happier with this and explained why.That last sentence is definitely hype on her part haha. I have no doubt it'll be better but without long travel it'll never be "basically a race truck without a cage." Sooooo many more factors there, largely the weight one. Interested to hear your feedback though.
For the wiring, use stranded wire, use a larger gauge wire than you think, solder ALL your connections and use marine grade adhesive shrink wrap tubing for ALL your connections:I want everything as clean and safe as possible.

I’m thinking the new toyo rt trails. Mud terrains are getting on my nerves lolTurned out great, excited to hopefully see the both of you on the trails in Colorado in few weeks. If you're planning to do gears I would seriously consider a rear locker while you're in there, it'll be a huge boost to the trucks capabilities. Going back with the same tire or something different this time?
