I ordered two off of eBay, cancelled then ordered these from the UK

Pleiades sell replacement globes. They are not genuine Toyota, they are Citroen with the pressure modified to suit the 100. They come with a thread adapter fitted. They are a direct screw in replacement.
This is very interesting. If they are modifying the globes to suit the 100, could they further modify them to suit heavier loads?
What are your expectations of longevity with these?

Edit: I read previous posts where it was stated that heavier/lighter pressures would only limit the travel of the suspension.

Are the fronts more likely to fail than the rear? My sister had the same truck and her fronts failed first also, just wondering if this is the case, since the front takes more abuse and it's heavier?

I may have some AHC accumulators, etc. to sell in a couple of months. They all work fine, just 3 of the 4 shocks are leaking. I haven't researched what they are worth via Ebay analytics yet. I live in Dallas and they are rust free.

I have 4 globes coming up for sale shortly as well. They all work.

I bought two rear Pleiades globes that were shipped last Thursday from the UK. They arrived on my porch in South Alabama today. Two globes including four day shipping was $352.52. I bled AHC fluid, used hammer and chisel, easily got old globes off and installed new globes by hand tightening. The LX was very bouncy in the rear. Now it is buttery. I am losing fluid from the DS front shock area but not sure why. Im hoping all the pressures will settle and leak will stop.

What are your pressures?

Have not idea about the pressures. How is that done?

Techstream, if you're ever traveling through Atlanta hit me up.
For those that aren’t interested in dealing with the vagaries of getting pirated Techstream up and running or aren’t willing to purchase an iCarsoft TYT 11 then go old school with a pressure gauge. It eliminates any potential spurious ECU processed pressure readings and you get accurate readings where they matter.

Where does one purchase such an item? Or is this a build it yourself kind of thing?

It would be interesting to compare a mechanical gauge reading to that of Techstream simultaneously.

Put it together from an SSBC brake kit (just for the M7x1 adapter to replace the bleeders) a couple of aeroquip -3 AN to NPT fittings and a length of -3 braided brake line. On the vehicle’s I’ve compared Techstream to gauge readings I’ve found unanticipated disparity. The FSM states that you’ll see an approximate difference of 1.2MPa between Techstreams value and actual. I’ve found the spread slightly less, on my own vehicle for instances to get the desired 5.7MPa (825 psi) at the front damper I’m reading 6.7 on Techstream. Other vehicles have yielded similar results. A gauge is useful after you’ve done something like fit new coils, spacers, sensor lift etc where you may get initial spurious Techstream readings, numbers that are in the 2s and 3MPa range that clearly can’t be correct based on the work you’ve done. It’s also handy to overcome Techstream interface/hook up issues on ROW vehicles.

I paid for two globes on eBay for $570 then cancelled, got a refund and bought globes from Pleiades in the UK for $352 shipped in four days. And the seem to work real nice

A bit of feedback from my personnal experience. Couple of years ago i replaced my 2004 spheres with items souces from ebay vendor WTK. Changed fluid at same time.
Bolted on no problem and performed well initially. A couple of months ago I noticed the suspension got noticeably harsher.
Last week finally got around checking fluid which was dark grey and only got 6 graduations. I didnt have time to contact WTK for a swap under warranty so just order new ones fron Pleiades.
When I changed the spheres it was clear that one had ruptured and one other was suspisciously full of ahc fluid.

To be fair to WTK this may just have been an isolated incident and I didnt have time to take offending items off, send them of evaluation etc.

I spoke at length with Pleiades and felt they know their stuff. They say they have been supplying since 2012 and are yet to have a failure. They expect similar life expectancy as OEM.

Time will tell....

So I haven’t taken them off my vehicle yet since the lift but I’ve got a full set on my 2000. They had about 95,000 miles on them when I did the lift. Also have the AHC pump and reservoir from under the hood that was taken off when I did the lift. Not sure what it would all be worth to someone but I’d be happy to sell it all if someone needed it.
