Went through the alt/vac pump, clocked the turbo a bit and transfered parts over to the new "Mikesta" supplied rad support.

Couple of progress pics, panel guard on the rear floor.
No rotisserie so on it's lid it goes to remove undercoat, finish capping the quarters and make rockers out of tubing.
Decided on Dune Beige with blacked out grill work for colour.

I don't know, kinda looks like a dead fish to me, floating upside down and all.

Seriously though, glad to see progress is being made!

I will admit it's not very dignified but it is a necessary evil, maybe i should have posted a warning for those easily offended.

stunning

Nice job this far man, what a build!
This thread is a good example how to do it right and without cutting corners.

Can I send my HJ61 over to you for a complete overhaul? :hillbilly:

What does moving your shackles from the front to behind the front diff do better mate

Thanks fellas good to know
lets hope that its the last time the 60 is on its roof
was just looking is the trailer with the 60 on it, does it have a ff diff in it

The trailer axle was made using Toyota spindles bolted to plates welded to shed. 80 pipe.

WOW...currently drooling...

X2 on Toyota 4wd Owner doing a full feature on the build!

cannot wait to see some photos of this custom rig getting some good action somewhere other than the garage!

props!

Very nice build up.

I'd like to say it's an inspiration for my BJ60, but if you saw my truck you'd likely be offended :o.

This truck was a roach when i started, very very rusty.
This was the only way the truck was going to be saved.
The bobbing & cutting the wheel wells was just the easy way of getting rid of the majority of the rust.

You have a large following at this point. Just what you wanted, a bunch of grease monkeys gathered around staring at and drooling over your junk...

Desperate for some updates and Cruiser porn...

Spent the week end scraping off the old oil, tar and rubber undercoat looking for rust.
The bottom of the rockers are rotted so i will be cutting them off and capping them.
The only portion i will not be cutting is where the front fender bolts to.
I guess i will have to make something off the sliders to protect the fender bottoms.

A little more scrapping, then on to the rockers, cut them down just under the rust.
Caps are made, will weld them on tomorrow.
